Did anyone see the game on Sunday? I thought he was also supposed to get time at linebacker. I figured he was at least going to have the potential for a few big plays playing the Texans???

I'm debating dropping him or Michael Huff for Devin Hester since our league awards for return yards....

Not much opportunity for Dawkins this week as the Texans could manage only 52 offensive plays. Running game never got going and most of the passes went to wideouts downfield. As long as Matt McCoy plays well, the Eagles will have a WLB who can make plays in pursuit. Dawkins' worth is mostly in his big play capability anyway -- he's had nine games with four or less tackles in each of the past two years. IMO, Dawkins seeing time as a "linebacker" is being overblown. It's unlikely that he'll be used much differently anyway.

Hester won't get much playing time in the base defense so he's an even more volatile option with a much worse downside. Huff will be a good player but is certainly not a better redraft option right now. He faced a much better run/TE combo this week and finished with essentially the same boxscore.

I tend to think it's more of an aberration than anything else. I've owned Dawkins in the past, he's solid. He'll blitz, get picks, is always around the ball and is a solid tackler. I think he'll bounce back with better matchups..
