Where do the Florida Panthers relocate to? (1 Viewer)

Let's get a team in the Dakotas. Can't be worse than Miami, Phoenix, or Vegas.
I still say Alaska. That whole state is being neglected.
No schtick -- even with a metro area about the size of Halifax's (~400K), I bet Anchorage would support a team.
You're close. Fairbanks is the answer.
Given the draw of Ice Dogs and UAF games, I would disagree with Fairbanks. Anchorage should do well I think. Or at least better than Florida.
I changed my mind. Almost half of the states population is in the Anchorage area. You're correct.
I'm thinking these games could sell out every night. I guess the only problem would be players not wanting to live in Alaska.

But an retractable roof arena would be so awesome in the NHL.
Yeah, I'm sure Alaska would be a huge culture shock to all those players coming from Scandinavian countries, russia and other former soviet countries, and so on.

Alaska actually has a big advantage as not only does it not have any state income tax, but also pays it's citizens.

Edmonton has a pretty hard time attracting players. Winnipeg probably similar. The wives don't seem to be big fans in general.

Well, sure. Who wants to live in Canada?

The problem with Alaska isn't attendance, it's TV revenue. The whole state has fewer potential viewers than Dayton, OH.
