Where is the Ravens vs. Patriots thread? Oh, here it is (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately with such a close game and the storylines involved, we are one inevitable awful ref call away from the league getting to decide the outcome of this game. You can find this post after the game to quote me.

We probably are already there. Just look at the last drive.

What the? Why is Steve Smith in at the goal line? The Ravens have a big TE in Crocket Gilmore who caught a big TD last week in at the goal.

Smith is simply too short to use down tight in at the goal.
Smiff has the 11th most career TD receptions from inside the 5 yard line amongst active WRs.

Good call, and I agree 100%. Usually the NFL over officiated during the regular a season and then let's them play in the playoffs. Not this time. Refs are playing a huge role in this game. I ope they eat the whistles in the 4th quarter, but I doubt it.

It is really hard not to like the Ravens.
LOL. Yeah, guys like Ray Lewis, Suggs, and the wife beater are so damn likeable.
Ray Rice isn't a Raven. Or can we still link Aaron Hernandez to the Patriots?
Well people up thread are. And to be fair Pars cut Hernandez immediately. Ravens waited til after the video.
I am talking about how they play football in the playoffs. Win or lose this is a gutsy performance.

I knew what you meant. While the Ravens have some players that are very unlikable, their tough, hard-nosed style is hard not to like as a football purist.

Nice call Josh McDaniels
He doesn't get nearly enough credit. He's the best OC in the game IMO.
No freaking way.
Absolutely. That team has Brady, Gronk and a bunch of spare parts. He changes the offense to fit the personnel every year, he makes great adjustments game to game and makes some of the best in-game adjustments of anyone. The Pats constantly have opponents off balance.
When he was with Denver, wasn't NE offense still good?

Down down diggy de down down diggy diggy,

Down down diggy de down down diggy diggy,

Down down diggy de down down diggy diggy,

Down down diggy de down down diggy diggy

The one downside to the refs calling anything close a turnover is you get these inconclusive plays which I'd prefer stay with the offense. Although this one should be overturned.

Yep. With the best skill position player in the league (Gronk) and a top 5 all-time QB, it's hard not to do well as the OC of that team.

Smith owned Revis at the GL on his TD.
That was a 9 yard TD where he had room.

Last drive was in much closer and he was in the soup surrounded by taller guys used over the middle. He had no chance.

Regardless, a guy like Smith draws coverage and can open up space for others. This isn't brain surgery.

Drawing coverage for who exactly? He had no chance to make a catch in that situation.
