In 3 to 5 player keeper leagues, it sure nice to have a stable of RB 1's, but in our league, you have to reach to get these guys.
It looks like Jacobs and Montgomery are being drafted before round 5 and probably have the best chance to break into a future RB1.
Who else has the best chance to be be a RB #1? I'm curious if anyone thinks these other RB's will take over as RB studs and should be reached for.
Sanders, Miles PHI RB - Seems to the have the talent, but is in a system that likes RBBC. I think Howard is good enough to hang on to the 1st and 2nd down job, and goal line duties. I doubt Sproles will be a factor.
Guice, Derrius WAS RB - I liked what I saw in college and in preseason. Terrible offense and O-line, RBBC with Peterson and Thompson, and has a higher injury risk. Could see him winning more carries from Peterson and Thompson getting hurt, but then Bryce Love comes along.
Freeman, Royce DEN RB - Freeman earning an a even split with Lindsey? I don't see the hype in Freeman. He's a JAG and Lindsey looks so much better. I think Lindsey will be a bargain at his ADP.
Hill, Justice BAL RB - Haven't seen him play, but have heard the hype. Without seeing him, and with Ingram in this offense and a solid Edwards, I haven't been targeting him.
Harris, Damien NEP RB - I've heard the good stuff about him, but Michal has looked really, really good.
Penny, Rashaad SEA RB - He doesn't seem to be in the same league as Carson.
Henderson, Darrell LAR RB - I haven't been impressed in what I've seen in preseason. I don't see him getting much opportunity if Gurley is OK, and Brown is solid, and that Brown has been kept out of preseason give me less confidence in Henderson.
Thompson, Darwin KCC RB - I've come the conclusion that I'm going after Thompson over all of these other guys. Most of these other guys will go rounds 5 to 7, with Thompson expected maybe round 10. I'm thinking of reaching for him as much as round 7. He seems to have much more explosion than these guys below and he doesn't have the competition these others have and to top it off, he's in the most explosive offence in the league.
