Which format values QB's higher -- 6 pt TDs or Super Flex (start 2 (1 Viewer)

Question from a practical standpoint (vs. theory):

In a 12 team league structure

League 1

start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, etc, but all TDs are worth 6 pts

Vs

League 2

start 1 qb, 2 rb , 3 wr, 1 Super Flex (Qb, wr, rb). passing tds are 4 pts

Under which format are QB's more valuable?

I say League 2 in which Brady should be a Top 3 pick. What do you think and why and what have you seen in practice in non-guppy leagues.

In our league we have 2 Super Flex so we can start 3 QBs if you want. We only have 4 points/passing TD though. We also have 1 point/5 yards rushing though to keep up the RBs. We also have it that you have to start 3 WRs and 1 TE too. This way it makes them valuable too. I like it.

But to answer your question, being able to start 2 QBs makes the QB more valuable.

Superflex would increase the value of all QBs

6pt TDs would increase the value of the very elite but not the rest of the QBs

Yes, I also think that Super Flex leagues make QBs more worthwhile than 6 pt TD pass leagues. Still, I find QBs a bit undervalued draftwise in Super Flex. I have pick 1.04 in an upcoming Super Flex league and I'm sure that I grab Brady there, as he's clearly the VBD selection. Otherwise he'd likely slide to pick 6 or 7.

Still its hard to pass up an elite RB like Westbrook or S-Jax.

I would think league 2 for certain. That is essentially a start 2 QB league.
How do you figure? I don't agree with that statement but I agree QB would be more valuable in league 2.
It's essentially a start 2 QB league because it won't take long for all the owners to figure out that starting a 2nd QB as a flex is far more valuable than starting anything else. Even a mediocre performance by a middle of the pack QB is likely to be worth more points than whatever your RB3 or WR4 is going to put up.

That was my point exactly. I suppose that would depend on the format of the league, but in general QB's score more points than other positions. Middle of the road QBs are worth more than even the best WR/RB. In one league I was in last year (4 pt passing TD's) 9 QB's scored more points than Randy Moss (WR #1) and 6 scored more than LT (RB #1).In that same league you would have been ahead to have guys like Kitna, Cutler, Eli and McNabb over ADP.In formats that limit the QB scoring more than this, I could see this potentially being a league where you would start something other than a QB at the flex. But those leagues are relatively rare.
