The Big Red Machine saw four different guys win 6 MVP awards from 1970 to 1976. Johnny Bench '70 and '72, Pete Rose '73, Joe Morgan '74 and '75, and George Foster '76.

The Yankees MVP streak was from 1954 to 1963 with 8 MVP for four guys. Yogi Berra '54 and '55, Mickey Mantle '56, '57, and '62, Roger Maris '60 and '61, Elston Howard '62.

The Braves had three different guys win 6 Cy Young awards between 1991 and 1998. Tom Glavine '91 and '98, Greg Maddux '93, '94, and '95, and John Smoltz '96.

(I'm hoping I didn't overlook another huge streak that rivals these, but I put "other" to cover my bases.)

Which streak of awards impresses you most and why?

I went with the Yankess run because, if I'm not mistaken, it was all home-grown talent.

ETA Actually, Maris wasn't home grown. The rest of them were.

I think the Dodgers 4 consectutive ROY awards between 79 - 82 and their 5 consecutive between 92 - 96 are pretty impressive.....simply because it was 9 different guys.

Six MVP awards in seven years for the Reds is incredible, especially because unlike with Barry Bonds it isn't all one guy, or even two or three. To me that's the most impressive because it involved the most guys in the least amount of time up for discussion.
