It's been a while since we had a highly touted first rounder completely bust --- are we due? Is Russell for real? What about Quinn? Anyone thinking CJ is going to carry on the Lion first-round bust legacy?

The jury's out on Russell at this point, the only 1st round offensive rookie that I've been completely unimpressed with is Robert Meachem, but he was drafted in the 20's so I don't know if that would be considered a "major bust".

Akili Smith was a major bust as the 3rd overall pick...seems unfair to throw someone like Meachem into the same stratosphere. If I had to look at the top 10 from this year's draft and guess who is most at risk of completely washing out:

1) Ted Ginn Jr.

2) JaMarcus Russell

3) Amobi Okoye

4) Levi Brown

I actually think they'll all be OK at the next level, but I think they're the four highest risk because you need to project them to show a lot of growth in order to attain their expected levels of success. Ginn is raw, Russell is unsigned and QBs are always a roll of the dice, Okoye is young, and Brown hasn't looked as good as the Cards would've liked this preseason.
