Jordy Nelson will take over for Jennings, but who will get the start opposite him? Driver is listed as the #3 on the depth chart, but Jones is obviously more explosive.
Cobb or James JonesRandall Cobb
Sorry for your goose egg last week against the Raiders. But he's bound to break out this week. Note to Pettigrew owners out there, watch what Mike Mitchell did to Finley last week and take caution. MM is on a roll.as a Finley owner, I'm looking for a voting option for "anyone except Finley". dude is wack.
Sounds like wishful thinking from a Mendy owner.'need2know said:i think they run the ball more. down the stretch last year they started running more too.
I own him and won't play him because of the risk, but this seems quite possible. Why? He is the one who is going to see the biggest bump in snaps. And he will keep playing late into a game that is a blowout. And he is talented.'rawdog said:Randall Cobb
What ^ saidEveryone is saying Jones, the betting public is hardly ever right.
karma from everyone saying bump finley to annoying depths. i have him as well, he is worthy of cutting in redraft all year until now.'Maik Jeaunz said:as a Finley owner, I'm looking for a voting option for "anyone except Finley". dude is wack.
He's TE8. Obviously he hasn't been the stud people had hoped for, but I doubt anyone cut him unless you're playing in an 8 team league.karma from everyone saying bump finley to annoying depths. i have him as well, he is worthy of cutting in redraft all year until now.'Maik Jeaunz said:as a Finley owner, I'm looking for a voting option for "anyone except Finley". dude is wack.
I pretty much agree. I would start Jordy with confidence. I am thinking about starting Cobb because I think he has the greatest potential after Jordy to have a big game. But he will need more than four targets; so I am a bit leery of Cobb. The rest are even riskier. Will Rodger's play improve this week? Will the beat up OL improve protection? I don't know.Bumping to ask what the SP thinks about this situation going into Wk 16 Championship week.
Last week's dreadful week against KC summary:
Driver caught 2 of his 4 targets and a short TD. Only got 17 yards.
Cobb caught all 4 of his targets for 53 yards.
Nelson, who should have had a great game, only caught 2 of his 4 targets for 29 yards.
Finley, who had a whopping 10 targets, only caught 3 of them (but for 83 yards).
This was a bad game for A. Rodgers and the Packers as injuries on the OL finally caught up with them and the Chiefs were in his face all day. Expect the Bears to be no less relentless. So resetting for Sunday Night's matchup, which calls for cold dry weather, what's the guess for pass distribution, targets, etc.
My biased opinion (as a Cobb owner) is I like that he caught all of his targets, and he seems to be taking on the Jennings role. I think his role only increases this Sunday. I had the chance to take either Driver or Cobb, and I have no regrets with my decision. Driver looks only playable in TD heavy leagues. He just doesn't run patterns that put him in space to go for a breakaway score. I think he'll be a decent start in that he's a got a decent chance to score, but I don't like his floor. Nelson was an abberation. He should bounce back, and if I was lucky to own Nelson, I'd play him without hesitation. Finley will continue to get his targets and should also be in line for a good game.
thoughts?
Finley is like a North Korean border city; looks nice on the outside until you realize that there's no electricity.Yeah, it's make or break for Finley this week, the drops are getting out of control.
If GB was serious about playing their starters down the stretch, which they will probably do against Chicago, simply becuase their players need to stay sharp and you can't give them almost a month off without serious action, we're talking about the #3/#4 options after Jordy Nelson and JerMichael Finley. So, maybe the options are limited to begin with?If we do see some reduction in targets from Nelson and Finley, or argue that neither of these guys are really a #1 guy, which means the ball gets spread around more, I thought Driver would have less snaps because of his age, and maybe Jones/Cobb would get more time on the field, specifically Cobb, so that he's a more experienced weapon come playoff time.Bumping to ask what the SP thinks about this situation going into Wk 16 Championship week.

Oh, I think the Bears can make this a game. Even with their rotating QB's. Their defense is going to hound whoever is the GB QB. I'm a little worried that San Fran gets upset on Saturday, and then the Packers would trot out Matt Flynn on Sunday Night and completely rest Rodgers. What would be the point of exposing him when they have home field locked up through the playoffs? Even if Rodgers does play, I think they'll stick to quick conservative playcalls and lots of draw plays up the middle. This could be a game right through to the last possession.my worry is that the Packers just go through the motions and run the clock in the 2nd half. Can the Bears offense make this a game? That seems unlikely.
This is what im thinking (granted as a hopefuly Rodgers/Jordy owner), but I just cant see how you dont have a TERRIBLE taste in your mouth from last week and come out to try to destroy your biggest rival and "set the record straight". As confident as they talked last week (we are going for it, we dont play scared, yada yada yada), if they shoot for ANYTHING less then the above they are basically saying to themselves and everyone else that they are all smack talk and nothing more.Lots of hyperbole going on here. This is still Bears v Packers and I can't believe the Pack would give up an opportunity to drive the final stake in the heart.
Other than the No. 1 seed not yet being secured and playing their biggest rival, I agree it's a pretty meaningless game.'sbonomo said:I am a jennings/Nelson owner that will be sitting Nelson this week after a terrible game last week. The pack just does not have anything to play for. I have some depth (DHB) sitting on the bench and would rather roll the dice with a team that is fighting for the playoff's. I am officially off the GB bandwagon however, i do thank them for gettting me to this part of the year.
