Which Patriot RB has the best game vs miami? (1 Viewer)

Dolphins are strong between the tackles, but crappy vs the pass. Ridley has been getting his TDs so he will likely get points, but Vereen seems to be the Receiving RB and edge runner. Woodhead peaks his head up now and then to get some catches, but vereen seems to be stealing those now...

I think Vereen outscores Ridley again this week, but both will be viable...

What say you?

Im thinking all 3 have about an equal chance at a TD, but I don't think any of them will.

If there is a rushing TD I think it will either be a 30+ yarder or Brady from within the 1.

I think Reggie Bush hangs 20+ ppr points on the Pats. Currently starting over Marcel Reece and Chris Johnson.
You do realize that he's only cleared that once this season? Also for some inexplicable reason, he hasn't caught more than 2 balls in a game since before the bye week. He's ppr fools gold at the moment the way he's being underutilized.

Seems like the consensus is Vereen which is a little surprising to me. It's absolutely possible that Vereen outscores Ridley, but Ridley has consistently been getting 15-20 touches every game vs. Vereen's 5-10. Until those ratios switch, I'm going to continue to play Ridley.

Exactly. A lot of people trying to outsmarts themselves.

Yep. Still can't believe people are talking themselves into benching Ridley.

I hope you guys are right I really don't have any better options at this point. The Pats spread the RB production out so much(esspecialy @ the goalline then to top it off they like to have Brady QB sneak from the 1 ugh....) so its a total crap shoot every week, I think thats what has most of us Ridley owners concerned. I keep holding out hope that they will get him involved in the passing game a little at some point....

The last several weeks the Vereen crowd has been much more vocal, and much more wrong.

Vereen has outscored Ridley both of the last two weeks. That said, Ridley has been getting more carries and that should continue. I don't think it is a good bet that Vereen outscores Ridley the rest of the way, but their values and roles have gotten closer.

Two weeks ago, Vereen got 8 of his 11 carries in the last 8 minutes of a 35-point game. Last week, he caught a long pass. In the last three weeks, Ridley leads the snap count 117-55, including 42-16 last week.

Sooooooo you're saying Vereen has been just as or more productive than Ridley with 1/3 the touches? ;)

Ignoring that I meant exactly what I said by SEVERAL weeks, the fact that you think what Vereen did in the past two weeks comparatively to what Ridley has done all season is somehow a boon for this week is beyond me.Ridley is the clear #1, even the last two weeks shows that, that being said I still stand by my prediction that they will all suffer on the ground this week.

Ridley has been a RB1 all season. This had not changed with emergence of Vereen, who gets enough touches to make decent flex play. I'm actually considering starting both, only risk there being is if Woodhead takes a lot of Verreens snaps. A nice note re: this game:

Here’s a myth: The Dolphins are good against the run. That was certainly true earlier in the season when they held their first five opponents to 61.4 rushing yards per game, but they’ve surrendered an average of 126.2 yards in their last six outings. They’re ranked seventh against the run this season from their strong start alone. Stevan Ridley and company have to keep the Dolphins’ defense on their heels.
