At first blush I would think Foster will still find room to run behind his OL, and they just may need to forcefeed him the ball until AJ comes back.

I think the same thing about McCoy, but at least Philly has some other weapons, other than one WR, to keep the defense honest.

KC is now just a mess.

What does this mean for McCoy, Foster and Battle going forward?

I believe McCoy value goese doen the most.

As far as Battle it is not like teams were afraid of Cassel. Most teams will defend KC the same no matter who is at QB.

As far as Foster goes most teams were defending the run first and Foster was still be getting his. The may have to lean on him more now that Schaub is out. He may actually get more check downs now that Leinhart is QB.

McCoy most people feared Vick to run so their defesne had to key on stopping Vick as much as stopping McCoy. Although Young also can run he is not Vick. I think McCoy suffers the most out of these 3.

McCoy actually has performed pretty well when Vick has been out at random points during the season. I think he'll be fine. The same for Foster, as he will continue to get his dump off receptions.

Battle isn't that great anyway, so I am voting for him by default.

I agree that Foster will get his touches regardless, but the big question is whether Leinart can sustain drives to give Foster the scoring chances.

Foster, McCoy then Battle.Foster takes the biggest hit because Schaub was playing at a higher level than Vick for the majority of the year. Also, Vince Young was the qb when Chris Johnson had his best years. In KC - Haley is so eccentric with his play calling that Battle might actually get more check downs.

Yup. Foster's value is gonna sink quite a bit. McCoy a little, but CJ did just fine with Vince. Battle and KC suck, so who care about this one.

I seem to be in the minority, but I don't see Foster or McCoy's value going down. Not like Schaub was going downfield a lot. Battle's goes down the worst because any semblance of a passing game there will be over with. Foster (and Tate) and McCoy can take any dumpoff to the house from pretty much anywhere. Battle will be lucky to get 20 yards combined.

I think McCoy and Foster will be fine. Definitely Foster b/c that team just knows how to run the ball. McCoy could be hurt a little if VY is awful but he can still be explosive off of check downs.

Now Jackie Battle on the other hand seems like a big risk. I was thinking of playing him Monday nite against the Pats but now I'm not so sure. How bad is Tyler Palko?

Any KC homers with Palko insight?

Schaub was killing it with play-action which helps the running game.Cassel stunk and Battle doesn't have as much value to lose so he shouldn't be getting any votes IMO.

Battle is only good if the Chiefs are in the game and not getting blown out. He is a pounder that doesn't benefit from the pass like Shaddy and Foster. That said, I do think that McCoy is the safest back out of the 3. Vick wont miss more than a game or 2 at the most. He may even suit up against the Giants.

Is Tyler Palko that bad? I mean the matchup against the Pats D isn't the worst matchup for him. No Palko love???

If anything, Vick's injury should help McCoy. If Reid has to choose between having Vince Young pass the ball or giving it to McCoy he MIGHT actually give the ball to McCoy. MIGHT!

So far, the only thing that has stopped McCoy is the Eagles putrid playcalling.

Foster also should not be hurt as Houston is a running team and that won't change even when Andre returns.

So I went with Battle :football:

Foster is going to take a big time hit with Matt at QB, to bad he was looking like money in the bank come playoffs
I agree.Leinart is one of the worst QBs in recent memory. He filled in for Warner in 2009 with Fitzgerald and Boldin to throw to and didn't throw a TD in about 2.5 games of action.

Dunno why the Foster worry, he'll just get more carries and less catches but still rack up yardage. That O-line is unstoppable.

Palko was favoring McCluster with his noodle-arm. Battle definitely takes the most hit. He has only 5 receptions on the year.
