Who are the guys that win you the championship? (1 Viewer)

It's pretty obvious that Lee Evans was left for dead by many that drafted him only to resurface ala Chuck Norris emergin silently from the river in Missing in Action to gun down the enemy with a .50 caliber machine gun.

Reggie Brown appears to be another.

Here are the week1 top 30 wideouts.

1 Steve Smith Car/7 13532 Chad Johnson Cin/5 13053 Marvin Harrison Ind/6 12154 Terrell Owens Dal/8 10975 Reggie Wayne Ind/6 10286 Roy Williams Det/6 9967 Larry Fitzgerald Ari/8 9348 T.J. ROY? Andre? Santana? Reggie?

I'm not sure he's going to come back at all this year, but Javon Walker may be available in a fair number of leagues. If your team is playoff bound he's a great guy to stash on your roster and see what happens.

It may be a week too late to get him, but Vernon Davis showed signs of life. The 49ers are too inconsistent to make him a reliable every week start, but I am sure there is not a more talented TE available if he's out there. I think there's a chance that the core of that offense (Smith, Gore and Davis) round into form down the stretch. A lot will depend on the underperfoming o-line.

Agree on Reggie Brown, but it's probably a week or two late if you didn't already nab him.

Shaub could be a nice stretch run guy if/when he and AJ get healthy.

Guys like Fred Taylor, Julius Jones and to a lesser degree Foster seem to be hitting the waiver wire. Any one of those guys could be gold down the stretch if their counterpart in the RBBC gets hurt.

1. Smith worries me with the roto-QB situation in car. He'll have a decent game very infrequently, but for a WR1 many took in the 1st or 2nd that ain't gonna cut it.

2. CJ just hasn't shown "it" this year, but who knows what happens to that offensive unit when Henry comes back (CJ and Housh take a hit or everything starts clicking?)

3. Marvin's injury has been lingering for quite a while now (age showing a little?), and Reggie has more than taken advantage of his opportunity. I think changing of the guard here.

4. & 5. TO and Wayne look solid having great years on solid offensive teams, and I really don't see that changing.

6. Roy has been kind of week the past couple of weeks , but he has a prettty nice schedule for big passing days in the second half of the season (NYG, GB, Dallas, and SD all in the bottom of the league for points allowed to WRs).

7. Fitz looks rough (as does the entire Cards passing O), and who knows what happens at QB the rest of this year. Although Det, Cin, Cle, and NO all left on the schedule is hard to argue with.

8. TJ has looked consistent as a WR1.5-2 (depending on league size), but who knows with return of Henry.

9. Walker's probably out for the season

10. Lee Evans could be decent in the second half if JP is looking his way, but I'm just not sold after one week with one long pass. I'm definitely not buying.

After the top 10, here are the others I'm buying on:

AJ - if he can come back healthy, you gotta love what he can give you with Shaub at the healm.

Colston - who knows what this team does. Did they wake up, or did the blind cow that is the Aints just find grass yesterday.

Burress - he's having a career year, and after the bye I think he continues to tear it up the rest of the season

Braylon - yeah, I think he catches a few more passes this year. Cle has to play catch up every week, and DA seems to be pretty good at it.

Ward - he's back, he's good, and I like him.

Moss - yeah, yeah, he's caught some TDs too, but I think there's someting to the question of how he handles weather. Never had to consistently play in cold weather before, so how will he handle it?

Just my :goodposting:

Chris Henry needs to be mentioned. Great schedule, plus off the radar for many

A long-shot is J. Jurevicius, as Cleveland has a great playoff weeks schedule, and defenses will most likely double (if not triple) team B. Edwards.

Another potential one is I. Bruce as his targets are going up, and St. Louis has incredibly ez schedule the second half.

My .02
