who are the steals of the draft (1 Viewer)

Stallworth, thought it was lucky - due to the trade..

Gore, even taken 4th round

Coles sure lookin' good after 2 weeks

Pennington

A. Bryant

Laveranues Coles - drafted end of 8th rd in 12 man league.

L. Maroney - fell to me in the 11th

LJ Smith - fell to me in the 9th

However, I drafted Deshaun in the 4th and Rhodes in the 6th. :bag:

Bryant Round 13 of 14 in q 12 team performance league.

Outperforming my other "Stud" receiver Randy Moss by a wide margin.

I'm seeing a few people say Pennington. Is he the real deal or has he just taken advantage of some weak pass D's?

QB- Warner, Grossman (maybe), Palmer (because he fell to injury concerns)

RB- Gore, Addai (will be), TJones

WR- A. Bryant, Cotchery, Williamson

Favre should be mentioned too. With his cake schedule, he could be the QB steal of the year.

Pennington will be here as well if he stays healthy.

Here's mine so far from a 12 team huge roster league (lineup in my sig):

Jamal Lewis in the 5th round

Mike Vick in the 8th round

Antonio Bryant in the 11th round

Kellen Winslow in the 15th round (a start 2 TE league)

Gore 4th Round (still early but very good returns so far) and heard many snickers.

Coles 9th Round

Stallworth 10th Round

Bryant 11 Round

Warner? 2 games, 532 yards, 4 tds, 1 int- not bad, dont get me wrong, but everyone knew Warner can produce with this offense. Warner's value is limited because of his likelihood of being eclipsed by Lienart due to injury or the season being a loss. His ADP was QB11 and his performance is QB7, again, nice, but I dont think that makes him a steal. Michael Vick is outperforming his draft position better than that (QB12 - QB6). I would have to think Pennington and/or Grossman run away and hide with this catagory- Warner wasnt a sleeper he was a top 12 QB.

Donte freakin' Stallworth

Baltimore Defense

The guy who took the Bears D laughed at me taking Baltimore since they were 'past their prime'. Well, they're averaging 40 pts/game for me in our scoring system and leading the Bears by 20-some points overall. They're actually covering for Plummer as my QB. :D

RB GoreRB Duece (i got him in the 7th)WR Cotchery (got him off waivers) QB Pennington (went very late in our draft, 14th round i think)

Baltimore Defense

Matt Stover

^ My leading scorers to this point drafted late, in a 12 team league.

No need to reiterate what many of you have already said so I'll leave of the obvious. However, the quiet steal of the draft for a few wise owners out there was:

San Diego Chargers Defense in the last round of the draft

Granted they have played two weaker teams, but there is no doubt in my mind that they are for real. Certainly a top 5 Defense IMO.

Marques Colston, 7th rd, 255th pickoh wait
Colston is a gem so far. 2 games, 2 td's.My other votes:Grossman, Pennington, VickGore, Dunn, Deuce (3 td's in 2 games), TurnerA. Bryant, Stallworth, Colston, Cotchery, Coles, Berrian

I wont include some obvious ones mentioned already.

In no particular order...

Donald Driver - currently playing a tier above his ADP - hes got opportunities than any other wideout in the

NFL and it wont end soon barring injury.

Desmond Clark - This guy went downright un-drafted in most leagues - he lost weight and had a great camp. Its not impossible this guy is still a FA in some leagues.

Michael Vick - Well well Well - Most gave up on him (be honest) and no the verdict is not out yet BUT

he looks about as good as you could ever imagine he would . Fantasy wise hes a staight up beast in leagues that reward a point per 10-15 yds rushing vs a point per 20-25 yds passing. No matter what, the fact remains the same he was often drafted late and has exceeded his ADP.

Eagles Defense - Went as a Defense #2 in most leagues or one of the very last drafted.

Kellen Winslow JR - Understandably so he went late is Drafts. But those thta kept the hope alive managed to get him at a great ADP and he looks to be the browns #1 worst case #2 target. The icing on the cake for me is hes on a team who 99.9% of the time will be playing catch up after the half of most games and will be airing it out.

Gotta say FBG helped me land Antonio Bryant in my dynasty league. I didn't draft him per se, but he was a steal at the price I got him at (traded a 4th round rookie pick).

Must give props to FBG for being high on him.

And for Merlin for hyping him to me.

Michael Vick -- Everyone was so down on him. Glad I listened to my gut and took him in all my leagues.

Kellen Winslow -- Could easily finish in the top 3 if he stays healthy.

Brian Westbrook -- I got him in the 5th round. I'd consider that a steal, even if he does have to miss a few games here and there.
