Who are you benching Lamont for? (1 Viewer)

Sucks to have to bench your 1st rounder but @ Baltimore will be a carbon copy of last week won't it? I'll probably go with Mike Bell or an extra WR.

My RBS in one league are LJordan, R Bush, Droughns and Westbrook.Sat out Bush last week. this week i will start him in place of Jordan.

Other leaugue i am putting portis back in...

 
Considering Jamal Lewis over Lamont for RB2...but with Jamal listed as questionable right now and also a ppr league...not sure on this one quite yet.

Jamal still having problems with the hip? I was looking to get him into my lineup this week....any homers have insight?
 
Starting Maroney over Jordan in a TD only league. Just can't see Jordan doing a lot better against Baltimore. Hopefully I can trade him at some point in the season before the guppies realize that all Oakland players are a lost cause. Shell needs to re-retire.

 
You have to think they will find a way to use him this week, right? For God's sake they can't be that awful in both the player and play-calling department, can they? Anyway, my other options are not much better this week, but will be between A.Green, KJ, T.Bell and/or T.Jones for RB1 and 2.

Thomas Jones

At this point, I'm liking the matchup & touches that Gore should get, along with the upside & "hopefully" increased touches for Tater Tot. I'm really nervous about Jordan vs. BAL this week, and it looks like he may not see my starting lineup until week 4 (benched last week as well). Foster & Jones are the potential replacements for Tatum this week, but I can't get past Foster's O-Line shuffle & the absence of Steve Smith in that offense. And I'm not sure if I'm being too hard on Jones, but I feel like his floor is similar to Tatum's, but his upside is the more limited of the two.

Who knows... I also subscribe somewhat to the theory that these Week-1 performances will return to the "mean". Is OAK O really that bad, and is BAL D really that dominant? Maybe, maybe not. For the moment, I don't think its worth the risk to find out & not utilize my strong RB bench.

For now, that's my answer as well. PPR league, 2 RB and 2 flex, LJ stays on my bench indefinitely. Thomas Jones, Kevin Jones, Ahman Green, and Drew Bennett all get into the line-up this week over Jordan (assuming Steve Smith sits). I don't want to over-react, but I saw NOTHING that gives me encouragement about any aspect of OAK's ability to play football. I think BAL will eat them alive this week. Then they have the BYE, and their schedule improves... at that point I'll re-assess.

Cut?!? I'm not happy, either, but I have zero expectations against Baltimore (IN Baltimore). After the BYE, they play CLE and SF - if you have the roster space, that's going to be the time to unload him. Or at least, the best chance to get some value if you think he's a bust. Right now, I don't think I could get Koren Robinson for him.

it will most likely be Norwood instead of LMJ. I am thin at RB in the league I own him in so I don't have many options :cry:

but then again it is a PPR league and I still have the thought that they might use him for the quick dump off passes.

Probably going with: D.Rhodes and T.Jones

Leaving on the bench: W.Dunn and L.Jordan

BINGO!!!I'm starting Michael Turner in place of Jordan. Granted its a free league that changed its draft without notice so I never even got to pre-rank my players and my team sucks. Still, what does it say when I have more faith in a backup than a preseason top 10 RB already? It probably just says that I'm either stupid or don't give a crap. Both are true I suppose.

Yes, it sucks to have to bench your 1st round pick in only week 2, but how about benching both your 1st and 2nd round picks?Week 1: Lamont Jordan and Cadillac WilliamsWeek 2: Chester Taylor and Ahman GreenI always try to draft depth at the RB position, I just didn't think I would need it so soon!
 
Benching Lamont for Westbrook, Chester Taylor and Kevin Jones in a ppr league.

 
Gore. My number 2 will either be Dunn or Foster. Leaning towards Dunn as long as Smith isn't playing.
