Who are you benching / starting in Week 2 (1 Viewer)

I have to bench Deuce McAllister, Westbrook, or Willie Parker. Might it be Deuce? I can't make up my mind...1 ppr, 1/10 rush and 1/20 rec, 6/TD

Steven Jackson over Dunn, Caddy, LJ and DD. You better not #### this up Martz!!
Funny, in my 14 teamer, my distaste for Martz has me benching Jackson against a juicy Cards defense in favor of Caddy against the tought Bills D. Why?Because Caddy will get his share of carries, and can easily break one. I'm a Bills homer, but their D isn't as good as advertised IMO. Solid yes, great NO. As for Jackson, you just don't know if Martz will give him the carries to dominate.

The fact that the Bucs are my 2nd favorite team, AND I'm flying down to Tampa for the game this weekend may have played a part on my Caddy selection, but it's more Gruden's mancrush for the kid than anything else. Cadyy WILL get his carries.

My other back is Julius, and I drafted him because of Parcell's preference to give him loads of carries. He's got a tough matchup at home against the Skins. But I like the Cowboys this week, and like Caddy, Julius will get his carries regardless.

It's all about touches and targets in FF IMO. The more your guy touches the ball, the better chance he has to be successful.
Interesting since I am thinking about benching SJ as my flex and starting LJ instead.

My two starting RBs are JJ and KJ

1 ppr league Can only start 2 of these 3 backs:McCallister vs. GiantsWestbrook vs. 49ersMcGahee vs. BucsMan, this is tough and going to be a pain all year on who to start.

Starting LJ over Curtis Martin.......tough call, but watching how bad Pennington looked, might as well roll the dice with LJ.
Pennington would look great if Sweet Lav didn't drop 2 TDssigned,

Lav owner

 6 fumbles prevent anyone from "looking great".

Actually considering starting both Thomas Jones and Muhsin Muhammad in the same lineup. I know the Bears' offense will suck most weeks, but if they do ANYTHING against the Lions, it'll be the two of them doing everything.Thomas Jones at flex over Kevan BarlowAnd I love the fact that Orton looks for Muhammad so often... he should be good for decent catches and yardage every week. Might bench Muhsin for Reggie Williams or Travis Taylor though.

Never sit Westbrook in a PPR if he's healthy.I'd have a tough time between Mcallister and McGahee too. Especially, this week. Flip a coin and fuggetaboutit!

In one league I am starting LJordan, Rudi, and Edge and sitting Kevin Jones at RB. Edge starts every week, Rudi and LJ have great matchups. At WR I'm starting Roy Williams and Lee Evans over S. Moss and D. Bennett. I really like Bennett but I'm not very fond of BAL's secondary. In my other league my 2nd RB choice will have to wait til the last minute due to injuries. If Mike Anderson's playing, he's my choice. My other options are the also-injured Mewelde Moore and the missing Michael Pittman. At WR Kennison and Boldin are playing, last week's starts Keyshawn and Booker are sitting.

Mike Anderson / TJ HoushWhoever figures to be the most healthy, goes in.Little tentative about Anderson tho as even if he's in, steals from Tatum / Dayne added onto SD D always plays DEN tough... TJ may be the call regardless.

Michael Clayton over Chris Chambers and/or Antonio Bryant. - While Clayton has a tough matchup, he's just too talented to not pair up with Harrison in my line-up each week as long as he's healthy, unless he fails to get on track as the season progresses. Chambers will draw Ty Law this week (and I think Ferotte comes back down to earth) and Bryant has a good matchup against the Pack but I just can't bench Clayton yet.

I'm seriously thinking of starting Anthony Wright over Delhomme, Rattay, & Brunell. I'll probably come to my senses (or get scared) before Sunday & plug Jake back in, but.......

Currently going with Ronnie Brown @ NYJoverStephen Davis v NEBrown is full time, Davis will split carries. Brown is on road, Davis at home. Brown goes against a DEF that allowed 200 rush yards and 3 rush TD last week. Davis faces the Pats.My success will probably depend on the extent to which NYJ's defensive lapse @ KC was an aberration and how much they will really stink against the run, b/c MIA's OL isn't terrific.

D.Driver or C.Chambers.GB scares me right now. They should have gone through DET DEF like a hot knife going through butter.GB plays CLE. and it looks like a good match up for them.MIA targeted Chambers 15 times and NYJ are a little banged up.

Rolling the dice with Alvis Whitted this week in a probable high scoring game vs. Kansas City. Porter and Curry aren't fully recovered yet, and Whitted has a chance to be big.Starting him over Calico, Pearman, M Moore, Gordon, and Kevin Faulk. Not a who's who of studs, but it is a who's who of matchup plays, in a 20 team league.

Starting FWP over Edge. Parker was sat during the final quarter and a half of the game last week because of the blowout, and still put up those sick numbers. Tough to sit Edge, though...really tough. Also starting Aaron Brooks in both leagues over WW-type QBs. It's not the greatest matchup, not the worst either.

Can't decide who to start was my #3WR - T. Houshmandzadeh or R. Ferguson. I think the Housh shoulder injury coupled with the Vikes improved secondary is making me lean towards Ferguson.

I'm going the other way- DBennett, RSmith and Coles over Roy Williams and Bryant. As a Bears fan, I am very fond of their talented secondary, not fond of Williams this week.

I have decided (perhaps stupidly) to bench Ed Reed and replace him with Nick Ferguson. Reed was my #1 DB, but he is a little banged up and BAL should dominate TOP in the game against TEN.To replace him I had to decide between Sarren Sharper and Nick Ferguson. Hopefully Ferguson gets a lot of tackles this week.On offense I am starting W Dunn over Portis this week. I just have a bad feeling about Portis getting shut down against Dallas on Monday and Dunn should rack up some nice yardage against SEA.

Really enjoying the thread. Great Sunday morning read with black coffee. My only real input is that several of you coaches are overvaluing FWP at this point. I am a Steeler fan and I want to believe also, but I would never consider benching a Deuce or Edge yet. The Tiatins defense is horrible. I think the Texans have to come into the game trying to force Pitt to throw.

:goodposting: :goodposting: I actually see anyone playing FWP will be disapointed big time after the game today.

I used similar thinking when I benched Vilma for Sean Taylor and Sammy Knight.Edit: I actually started Polomalu and Urlacher along with those 2. :D

I feel safe in saying both Priest and LJ will get 100 yards and a score. At least.
That's why I'm tempted to start both of them and bench Westbrook. But as sure as I do that... :wall:
There are very few guys I would play over Westbrook this week....and LJ sure aint one of them.
I shared this line of thinking, as I have Westy, Priest and LJ and needed to pick one to go with FWP. Unfortunately, my opponent has some sick matchups and is repleet with studs like LT2, CJ, etc. This is an ESPN league where we can actually change players immediately before the game no matter which time it is (1, 4, 8:30 or Mon. night) so long as the player we are taking out hasn't played yet. I'm guessing there are a number of owners out there who use ESPN and own the Priest/LJ combo.Although this is somewhat twisted logic, I'm keeping Priest in the line-up. If I'm getting my a*s handed to me, I'll switch for upside and play LJ. I think Westy could have a nice game, but 150 total and two TDs seem like a stretch to me, especially with Donovan aching and not a threat to run himself.

PalmerAlexander***Parker***Chad JohnsonWardPutzierVanderjagtTB Def***Stephen Jackson***Benching Jackson in favor of Parker. Houston really hasn't looked all that good preseason through week 1. I get the feeling that Pitt will run and run often just like last week. I am a little concerned about this "fact", Big Ben sitting, and Hines Ward's back and am considering starting Anquan Boldwin in place of him. Or possibly Moulds.

I have Tomlinson, J.Lewis and Parker (can only use 2)I feel like Parker and Lewis will have career days. I don't feel so strongly about Tomlinson. This is so hard.

 FWP was great last week against a pourus Titan D, but I wouldn't even consider benching LT2.

Yeah, well Houston D is pourous as well.

Started Willie Parker over Julius and Ferguson over DJAX. Very scared of the SEA game and I'm playing the league juggernaut, might as well take some chances. Come on FWP.

I''m trying to decide if I bench Bennett and start Battle, Porter, Edwards or TTaylor. Kinda thinking the only real decision is about putting Porter in if he's recovered - I have to wait a little longer on Edwards and Battle and Taylor I think. In another league I went ahead and started Edwards over JJArrington until JJ shows me something (at flex spot).

In one league I am playing LJ over CMartIn the other league I have Johnson, I can't start him over Alexander, Rudi and FWPReally bad choice for last RB in another league - choices are:Arrington, Shipp, M. Moore, M. Williams or Suggs = all bad

I have to decide between LJ/TJ/Bell/Anderson.  I will wait till Saturday night or Sunday morning to decide I think..Right now I have Bell in..  Tempted to play LJ..
No offense, but this is probably the easiest choice listed so far IMO.Give in to your temptation.
How can you say its easy when the RB will get between 9-12 carries all game.. Verse a guy that could get 20+?? No doubt LJ is the more talented runner then the ones listed.. Yet I am also starting Jordan..
I feel safe in saying both Priest and LJ will get 100 yards and a score. At least.
