Who are your over and underrated in Dynasty for 2012 (1 Viewer)

No idea how a person can say Fitz is overrated. He proves every single year no matter the situation that he is money in the bank. If anything, after that "Don't draft Fitz early" thread, he was underrated...again.

Underrated

Maclin-Like Flo Rida says, "I get a good feelin'" about this year.

Nicks-Everyone is looking at Cruz and forgetting Nicks being banged up some. They shouldn't.

Beanie-Everyone's favortie nerd in the hall. But he's growing every summer.

Wayne-I don't know where they placed his tombstone but he's the most durable WR in the past decade, runs precise routes, doesn't predicate his game on speed, and has a brilliant young QB coming in. I expect a fine couple of years.

Overrated

D. Thomas-It just doesn't click as easy as people seem to think with Manning's WRs. Most people overlook that all these guys that take off with Manning are 2nd and 3rd year guys in the system.

Spiller-Always leery of guys that come in fresh half way through the season and look good in short bursts; especially after they hadn't looked all that great previously in opportunities. Adding FJAX back to the mix only raises the ???'s.
When has Spiller looked mediocre?
His whole career until Fred Jackson got hurt. Then he had some good games, but not as good as some of the games Jackson had.

Beanie's floor isn't that low. Maybe 600 yds and 6 td? That is a floor that I would consider quality.

I think his ceiling is limited because of his team and injury history. But I'm buying his floor stats.
When you say that is his floor but he has a 116 carry, 397 yard, 2 TD season under his belt (2010) it makes me wonder if everyone's definition of floor is what my definition is.
And since this is a dynasty thread, what does floor mean on a timeline? I was probably using the wrong terminology. I think Beanie had his best season last year and will be in a full blown RBBC or less from here on out. A declining scale of fantasy points. It is fair to say that a few others see increased production in 2012 and beyond. But, hey, that is why I put him on my over-valued list. Other people have to really like him.
There's a ton of assumptions in that statement - especially for an RB who is only 23 years old. I don't think Wells is being underated per se, but a 23 year old who has shown signs of improvement and ability - and whose only competition is a guy coming off a major injury is definately hard to overrate.
It is not "assumptions" it is projections. We all have our own and I get that you and Shutout like Beanie. I don't. No need to beat a dead horse. He is on my list because I do not think he is exceptionally talented. He is not on a good team. He does not pass the eyeball test. I consider him a mediocre timeshare RB at best, and dynasty owners of Beanie see it differently. This is why he is on my over-rated list.

He looked like nothing more than average his rookie year. I believe something like 8 for 33 was his best performance.Let's be honest: the man has about one month of good work on his resume and that all came at the end of the season. Like I said, I'm always skeptical when a guy comes in fresh and goes against guys that have been playing full time for 3-4 months.

Look at it another way: When a young RB gets on the field and shows he can get the job done; what is the first thing that happens to a 30+ RB teammate? But FJAX is going to be given an extension. That is nothing against FJAX. He is a good player. But the NFL is a business first and foremost and if an NFL team is sitting on a guy they think can be a LeSean McCoy, a Ray Rice, or even an Ahmad Bradshaw, they don't make a point to coddle their aging vets usually.

His whole career until Fred Jackson got hurt. Then he had some good games, but not as good as some of the games Jackson had.
From Rotoworld:Fred Jackson's agent takes Bills GM Buddy Nix at his word that Jackson will be signed to a contract extension before the start of training camp.

"Buddy Nix has been honest and consistent with us all along," Jackson's rep said Friday. "I’m confident talks will get started in the next couple of months." It's unlikely Nix would have gone out on such a public limb were he not confident something will get done. Jackson may have to wait until after the draft, but he'll get his new contract. Mar 31 - 3:27 PM

The big question is why did the Bills GM promise Fred Jackson a new contract if they had plans to make Spiller the primary RB? Jackson will be looking for a sizeable payday and the guys that get paid play a good portion of the reps. I do not own Spiller in dynasty, but do feel like it is his time. In terms of production per $ spent for the Bills, I think that Spiller could handle the primary duties just as well as Fred Jackson. Fred is 31 years old and this is a deep draft at RB. By all accounts, Fred is a good teammate and a very talented RB. However, he is already past the age of decline for most RBs and the Bills have other positions they need to put money into.

The other big question is how does a GM promise a new contract when two parties do not have all of the details agreed upon? Fred Jackson's ears are hearing from the Bills "we are going to pay you what you are worth" and that number is likely to be higher in Fred Jackson's mind than it is to the Bills. If they have an impasse in negotiations as training camp nears, then Fred and his agent are going to say that Buddy Nix is not a man of his word.

OVERRATED EDDIE GEORGE

UNDERRATED CURTIS MARTIN

J/K

I'm UP on DECKER because I own him. While he was usually the one guy Tebow would throw a pass too. I would much rather have Peyton throwing to him.

I could be overvaluing him and admit it but I drafted this guy and have held onto him the whole time. So I've earned the right.

DJAX...drafted him too...I would say his stock is NOT overrated right now. While he is a Boom/Bust guy his stock is down at the moment. Somewhat UNDERRATED for what he's capable of.

Steve Smith STL...UNDER Rated....He's not OVER RATED. He's dropped in a lot of leagues. Going to STL = he could be great possession WR for them. Signing indicates that he could be healthy too. He's one of a few players in the last 6 years to have a 100+ reception season 107/157 targets 2009. Maybe that's why people like him...nay sayers.

GRONKOWSKI... EVEN. I don't think he's overrated. I don't think he's produce at 300pts season level again but he's pretty damn good and capable. I have Hernandez and I like both of them. If people are selling high...good for them.

INGRAM...I think he's capable of being awesome...his stock is down right now. I don't think its really his fault. I would totally trade for him because of his potential UPSIDE....so I think he's only OVERRATED if you think he won't get any better. But if you're wrong you won't know until it's too late. I think it just creates opportunity for people to trade for him where they normally wouldn't.

JCHARLES: EVEN...stock low due to injury but he's earned the right as a TOP 3 top 5 RB in leagues to be valued much higher RBBC or not.

BRITT is playing BELOW his POTENTIAL but it's hard to find someone that thinks he sucks. He might be over valued in that regard but the reason you'd trade for him is his UPside for those 3-5 games he can be healthy lol.

Lynch has been higher up the rankings that I thought he'd be but his nubmers have been decent and I don't care that beastmode run in the playoffs against the SAINTS was awesome. Because of that...I say EVEN...not over/under. Don't know what the future holds...but he threw that guy down and broke a bunch of tackles and then won the freaking game against defending SB CHAMPS...did I mention they had 7-9 record and he threw the guy down two years ago?

I am guilty of underrating DeSean Jackson. What is it that makes him underrated?

He has game breaking ability. Last year was a let down, mostly because his TDs were down. But he is capable of being a top 10 WR and people value him as a WR30 in dynasty.

Jennings was on some lists as a "sell" last year too. 28 years old.

He was 39 yards away from his third straight 1,000 yard season and has never had under 900 yards in a year, and you can get him for a late first rounder in most cases (I actually got him for the 2.01 in one league). To me, that screams "underrated", even if I think he's an idiot.
