Now that "Beastmode" is in Seattle, who is the most productive now that we assume most of them will get more playing time?

I think it has to be lynch. Seattle is a much better offense than buffalo and play in a much easier division.

Fred Jackson is the best RB on this sqaud......not sure why he got no love....always finds the right hole and cuts and the right time....Having said that, it depends on what the coaches think. The Bills history suggests that Corey McIntyre will get all the carries. Fred and CJ should get 15 touches each per game minimum.....if this team wants to get more than 5 first downs a game

Jackson has a shot at becoming a low-end RB2. The Bills can run the ball. If they commit to it, I see Jackson having similar value to 2009. Spiller will probably still be the change of pace back (<10 carries) & see 5 targets or so in the passing game per game.

Lynch could be a RB2 in Seattle if he gets 60%+, but I don't see Forsett going away. Let's not get carried away with expectations, Seattle's O-line has been almost as bad as Buffalo's. Lynch may still be getting 14 carries for 50 yards, just in a different colored uniform.

you should add a poll

thanks!!! makes the thread more complete imo.

I don't see why the Bills move Lynch if not to give Spiller a chance to prove himself.
Thats what i think. Gailey has got to be feeling the pressure. They spent a first round pick on spiller and have treated him with kid gloves the first 4 weeks. I think they might want to see what they have in him. Lynch was clearly stunting Spillers growth...

This time next week we'll be saying "Spiller only got 4 carries?" then someone will chime in and say "Well, the Bills did manage to double last weeks production".

Spiller is startable for me in my 10 man league since we have return yardage with bonuses at >100 and >150..a threshold he has eclipsed twice already this season.

I think the increased workload benefits him the most of the three. He now has a great chance to prove himself. If he does well in his increased role then I see it increasing more and more as games are played. Basically this is his chance to either solidify his spot or show that he is not ready for the NFL or a fantasy lineup spot yet.

also i hate to be the guy that says this because its really annoying when people do it, but are these guys really available in your league? none of them are available in my 10team very short roster redraft league.

Fixed. All BUF RBs combined for nine carries last week. Repeat that to yourself about a million times. All RBs combined for nine carries.Despite 2 out of 3 of the backs averaging over 5 ypc. Nine carries. Nine.

So despite Lynch leaving town, in what should be an obvious sign that the team is finally going to green-light Spiller, I will wait until I see it as their actions thus far have basically defied human comprehension.

Well i just swiped Spiller, someone dropped him for a bye week situation...this was 2 days ago, before the trade.and to be honest when all 3 were on the bills, were they really rosterable?

"Buffalo Bills RBs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller will likely share carries after the team traded RB Marshawn Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks Tuesday, Oct. 5, according to ESPN.com."

yea i guess its just a quirk of my league because i just looked it up and lynch and jackson are only rostered in 1/3 of leagues of this size.

Fallout: Marshawn Lynch is a SeahawkMarshawn Lynch has been traded to the Seahawks in exchange for a 2011 fourth-round pick and a 2012 conditional pick. The fantasy fallout here is stretches high and wide. Let’s get right to it.SEAHAWKSMARSHAWN LYNCH: Immediately becomes Seattle’s feature back and will push for 15-18 touches shortly after Seattle comes out of its bye. Add him as a low-end RB2. Remember that Lynch isn’t some washed up veteran like Julius Jones. He’s 24 and entering his prime without a ton of wear on his tires. The Packers would have been a better landing spot, but this is serviceable. JUSTIN FORSETT: He is now a mere passing-down, change-of-pace option. He was a weak fantasy play getting 17 carries a game, now he’s mere bench fodder. Drop Forsett in shallow formats if you need to.JULIUS JONES: He’s been cut in real life. If you haven’t cut him off your fantasy team awhile ago, you aren’t paying close enough attention. LEON WASHINGTON: Drop him in all formats.BILLSFRED JACKSON: This is why you’ve been stashing Jackson this whole time. He’s now looking at a minimum of 12-14 carries as the Bills’ clear early-down option. It’s not a great situation on such a horrible team with such a horrible offensive line and passing game, but Jackson has flex value. Add Lynch first if you have a choice between the two.C.J. SPILLER: It’s time for Spiller to spread his wings. The Bills didn’t waste the No. 9 overall pick on him for nothing, so look for plenty of reps while rotating with Jackson. Spiller has serious PPR upside now. Look for 12-15 touches weekly. PACKERSJOHN KUHN/BRANDON JACKSON: No change here. The Packers apparently weren’t willing to give up this meager haul for Lynch, so they are fine with this duo. They’ll cap each other’s upside while the Packers go pass heavy. JAMES STARKS: The sixth-round rookie is currently on the PUP list with a hamstring injury. But he’s back at 100 percent and should hit the ground running in Week 7. He’s an interesting deep sleeper stash and could very well carve out a role if Jackson continues to disappoint.

Lynch has the best potential to become relevent from a FF standpoint, becuase he is no longer on the Bills. The Bill won't be able to get Jackson or Spiller enough carries or scoring opportunites to make them worth a FF start.

True, by rule or the way we think it will be.......but how often do things work out the way we think? lol

Marshawn Lynch has been traded to the Seahawks in exchange for a 2011 fourth-round pick and a 2012 conditional pick. The fantasy fallout here is stretches high and wide. Let’s get right to it.

SEAHAWKS

So a team that gave nine carries to all its backs just last week is now a lock for 24 RB carries per week, with a possibility of 29 carries?wk 1: 14 RB carries

wk 2: 27 RB carries

wk 3: 21 RB carries

wk 4: 9 RB carries

weekly average: 17.75 carries for the RBs. 10 for Fred, 7 for Spiller. Welcome to RB hell.

Hasn't Carroll been trying to find someone to put Forsett back into more of a CoP/3rd down back role since he got to Seattle?

I think it has to be lynch. Seattle is a much better offense than buffalo and play in a much easier division.
They don't have a much better than offense. I know Buffalo's is putrid and Seattle's is better by default but Seattle is still one of the worst offenses in the league. Stick a fork in Hasslebeck because he is done.

He said touches for Spiller not carries. The Bills running backs have gotten an average of 21.50 touches per game so far. I think that will go up a little because it is skewed by a a very tough week against the Jets. It think from here out the Bills Rb's will average about 24 touches per game combined. Right now I'd say 12 each for Spiller and Jackson. Spiller's % could go up though as the season progresses and there will be weeks where they combine for 30 touches like perhaps this week vs the Jags.

I'll go on the record as saying that won't happen again this year.

The bottom line is right now Spiller is only good enough as a flex play in PPR leagues. He stands to get about 12 touches per game right now. But he has upside so he definitely is worth stashing if for no other reason than to see what Buffalo does from here out.

Through Week 4, the three main BUF backs combined for:

71 rushing attempts, 300 rushing yards, 15 receptions, 52 receiving yards, 2 total TD, 47.2 fantasy points, 62.2 fantasy points in PPR.

Fantasy wise, if you take the numbers and split that between Spiller and Jackson, that would mean if things stayed the same that 11.8 ppg and 15.6 (PPR) would be up for grabs.

I have both Spiller and Jackson on one of my teams, and I still can't say that I am all that excited unless one of the guys gets a much bigger piece of the pie than the other.

Hey Yudkin are you starting any of them at the flex this week vs Jax? And as always I have to ask you a NE question. Danny Woodhead???

I don't know what I am doing with the BUF backfield, but I probably will have to start one of them if Steve Smith CAR is going to be out. Woodhead's value is going to be almost totally tied to whether he gets in the endzone or not. I guess he is worth a flyer during the bye weeks or if you have injuries, but I don't think he will get 8-10 touches a game. I would guess 4 or 5. Tough to make a fantasy living on that.

Marshawn Lynch

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Greg Johns issued a "fantasy alert" on Marshawn Lynch after coach Pete Carroll made it clear that his new back is ready for a major role in his first game at Chicago.

"He's very much into [the offense]," said Carroll. "I don't think there's going to be any problem of him playing a lot in this game." Carroll has yet to anoint Lynch as the starter, but he's the new lead back whether he lines up on the first play or not. Justin Forsett is expected to be used as a "counter back in third-down type situations." Our early rankings have Lynch as the No. 22 fantasy back for Week 6.
