Who is Brian Westbrook True HandCuff... (1 Viewer)

Being a Philly homer and owning Westbrook in my league, I picked up Moats late. CBuck was picked sooner, but I think Moats is the better handcuff for Westbrook. He runs the same routes, catches the ball well, and can be a legit homerun threat (proven last year). Also, if CBuck goes down, Moats will see more action. CBuck is #2 because of his size and power to get the tough yards, but I still worry about his knees. If healthy he could score 8-10 tds (rush & pass)...Don't forget about Tapeh. He was drafted to be a FB/RB and even though Philly doesn't run with their FBs much, expect that to change with Tapeh healthy and better versed in the GP.

News Story: Correll Buckhalter, who has missed the last two seasons with knee injuries, is listed as the No. 2 tailback behind Brian Westbrook, according to the Philadelphia Enquirer. "Whether I'm playing for five plays or 15 or 20, when I'm in there, I'm going to give it my all," Buckhalter said. "I'm going to make sure there's no mishaps on my part... I feel I can do anything that they give me, and whatever they give me, I'm going to make the best of it." Buckhalter beat out Ryan Moats for the No. 2 job.

News Story: Coach Andy Reid told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Buckhalter will play Sunday.

Fantasy Analysis: Buckhalter is Brian Westbrook's top backup, but his history of knee injuries can't be overlooked. Still, he should be owned as a reserve.

News Story: Eagles coach Andy Reid explained what RB Correll Buckhalter will be doing in the Week 1 game at Houston. "He'll work into the game and play," Reid said. "He'll be in there working with Brian (Westbrook). On certain plays he'll have an opportunity to get in there and spot Brian, so that's why we kept him here. We felt coming out of the Pittsburgh game that he was ready to go and could be very productive for us."

If healthy, Buck will be the #2 back and he'll have a role in the running game, without a doubt. Pretty much the Dorsey Levens/Lamar Gordon role. If Westbrook gets hurt, Buck's share increases some, but Moats would likely replace Westbrook in packages and formations that Westbrook would have been in.

Yes Westbrook should have a huge year only if he can remain healthy for at least 90 percent of the season.... Im thinking about 950 rushing and 99 receving and a total of 10 tds
Interesting. How many rushing TDs and how many receiving TDs would you all guess? Something similar to 2003 when he had 7 rushing TDs and 4 receiving TDs, or more like 2004 when he only scored 3 rushing TDs but added 6 through the air? I'm guessing the latter, but I'm curious to hear others' thoughts.
