Who is going higher in drafts than you expected they would be? (1 Viewer)

I haven't had either of my drafts yet, but I am thinking that a guy like Johnny Knox will go higher than I am willing to spend. I wouldn't be surprised if the same goes for Arian Foster after his performance this weekend. I like both players, but I can see them going a round or two higher than I would have taken them.

Recent PPR draft 12 Team

0.5 PPR RB/WR, 1.0 PPR TE

Finley in round 1 (TE required)

M Bush in round 4

Spiller late 1st round

Finley was the #2 TE taken in our draft (4th round - 14 team) and people went nuts like they were all hoping to land him. Not saying it was a foolish selection, but taking him #2 when he's ranked by many in the #6-#8 range sure knocks off a lot of the expected value. Foster probably got the next biggest reaction (4th round) as many people were hoping to land him too. Mike Williams went earlier than I expected. Frankly, I was surprised that guys like Huggy, Ringer, and Doucet were even drafted in our league so they obviously went earlier than I expected.

He has looked amazing in the preseason. He looks huge and fast and on the TD last game he simply outran his single coverage.

Granted it's a small sample size, but in 2 leagues I drafted this weekend (12 team PPR and 14 team PPR) Tony Romo didn't last past the 2nd round in either. Neither did any of the other top QBs (6 pt all TD leagues).

Seems like a great year to go QBBC!

Leon Washington and Huggins have both been drafted a few rounds ahead of their publicized ADPs and ahead of where I wanted to draft them - Huggins particularly so (like round 10 and 11).

Jahvid Best top of RD 3, Finley RD 3, and Arian Foster middle of RD 4. All three went higher than I thought they would.
 Wow, had exactly the same fallout in my 14-team draft this weekend... Hype around Arian Foster is crazy (although may be warranted...).

Calvin Johnson - I see the potential and I would love to have him, but I wouldn't take him as the #2 or 3 receiver off the board.

Miles Austin - I still can't believe where he's going in drafts. He's going at least a round too early and probably more.

Shonn Greene - Doesn't get receptions, isn't a true breakaway threat, and won't be alone on the goal line. Doesn't sound like the description of the 21st overall pick to me. Peyton Manning - I don't see a huge catalyst for his numbers to improve, and he's not that much better statistically than the guys going a full round or more later.

Phillip Rivers - I think he'll be good and I'd be happy to start him, but he's going at pick 35 while established guys like Eli Manning (76th) and Matt Ryan (79th) are going 40+ picks later. I'd rather fill my other positions first.

Jamaal Charles - The league is littered with guys who had a really strong half a season, got drafted early the following year, and disappeared from the face of the earth.

Mike Wallace - The #2 receiver on a running team with a good defense and a suspended quarterback. I don't understand his ADP of 80, let along FBG's projections for him.

Malcolm Floyd - This is more a critique of the FBG ranking which is way, way, way ahead of ADP. If you're predicting him to break out because Jackson is back, then you're taking the risk that Jackson returns in the back half of the season and Floyd's value plummets when you need him most. If you're predicting him to break out because he's Malcolm Floyd, then why hasn't it happened yet?
