Who is the #1 WR in Atlanta this year? (1 Viewer)

The WRs should probably be upgraded this year with Harrington at QB (and not Vick). Who's their expected #1 WR and what kind of numbers can we expect? The Atlanta WRs seems to be forgoten in rankings this year and there could be some value there...

While Horn is a nice vetern player I have to think Jenkins will be the #1 target this year in ATL. I have always liked his talent but I don't feel he has ever got a chance to shine due to Vick's limited accuracy. I think Jenkins could sneek in to the top 20 this year.

some more info, FWIW:(Rotoworld) The Atlanta Journal-Constitution calls Michael Jenkins a "slot receiver."Impact: Jenkins has been inside with Joe Horn and Roddy White on the perimeter during camp. It's uncertain who will start, but it was presumed that Horn and Jenkins would form the first team when Horn signed in March. The receiver situation in Atlanta is again looking like one to avoid in shallow leagues.Id

I think the offense is a spread-out-the-love type between many different WRs and TEs - I dare say like the Patriots.

Although it may be effective, I don't think the individual WR numbers will look good but the offense should move. And like the Patriots, the QB is the only good looking FFL prospect, even though it's JoeyH.

Horn WR1, and white and jenkins should split the rest
 Horn is a good value play. Check out his ppg from last year when healthy ...
That is all well and good, but check his last years QB and this years QB.
I've made this point before and I will make it again. Bad QBs do not necessarily mean bad numbers for their WRs. Although bad QBs throw a bunch of INTs, it's not like WRs are penalized for those. Bad QBs get their team in trouble, which means they trail a bunch, which means they have to throw it more, which means more yardage and receptions for their WRs. Finally, bad QBs tend to focus on their favorite WR and feed him the ball.Let me qualify this a little by saying I am not talking about completely horrible QBs. I am talking about below average QBs who can still have some, however limited, talent.Bottom line, I expect Harrington to be throwing it a bunch this season and someone is going to have to profit.

1) Fighting Colston for catches vs. Jenkins and White2) ATL will throw a lot because they will be getting crushed and Ds will stack 8 in the box and force Harrington to throw. You draft Horn in the 11-14th or so and that is pure redraft value IMHO ...

Last I heard Horn and White were the starters and White is getting praised a lot. I haven't heard anything on Jenkins.

I wouldn't expect more than about 750 and 6 from Horn. That's probably good value in the 11th-14th though
