Looking for that one guy that owners might be reaching on right now that could come back to bite them. List your choice for "other" if you choose that option.

Ben Watson didn't go 10th in the 1st round of my re-draft league, so, yeah, it's the Bushman

It's not just in FFB. The Media is doing it too. In one preseason game they showed the "amazing/astounding/astonishing/jaw dropping" 9 yard run he had. I think he finished with like 5 carries for 7 yards. No mention of the other 4 carries for no gain or a loss. At the end of that game he had many more bad carries than good, but watching the post game coverage on ESPN it sounded like the guy just set the single game rushing record...

Please... Why hasn't anyone uttered the words "Michael Vick"??
Because despite being a seemingly ineffective NFL QB (or at least sporadically great) he still finished 11th last year at QB in a standard scoring league. The year before that he was 12th. Not stellar numbers but solid and something to build on. BTW, I do not own Vick and never have....

Going with FWP. That's the name I thought of before opening the thread.

I have him in a couple leagues and would love if he performs near the level people are talking.

none of these guys, although Bush is surely the most hyped of the 3

i'll go with Steven Jackson

What is Parker doing in this poll? You are nuts.
How so?
Why is Parker any more overrated than any other player in the NFL?I would say Parker is underrated. People don't fully grasp the impact of Bettis leaving and Parker staying in the game inside the 10. But that's besides my point. My point is that Parker does not have anything special to make him "overrated" like some others, like R Bush he has not played a game yet, and won't even start.

I am not surprised that Parker is a less popular option than "other" in this poll.
Admittedly, Parker was thrown in there because of my own bias. He's a good player, but I think he's moved up further and more quickly than he should have, even if he has been declared the goal-line back. I definitely feel that Bush and Watson are being more over-hyped than Parker is, at the moment.

Roy Williams. Are you nuts? Everybody is going gaga over what he will do and mentioning Tory Holt left and right, but it's still John Fing Kitna throwing him the ball. I think he will be top 15 - 20 this year, but can we put the Tory Holt talk aside until he produces? And stays healthy?

:goodposting: And Andre Johnson

Overrated and overhyped are two different things . . . overhyped means that a guy is getting much more attention than he should, overrated means that a guy's perceived value is greater than his actual value . . .

I agree with you on this. Fair assessement. :hifive:

As the workhorse in Pittsburgh? What's not to like?Redraft, RB12 seems about right. He is getting talked about now because people recognize that he had been a great value. Now, in a dynasty league, it's a different story as (despite the extension), it's entirely possible that the Steelers draft a RB or sign (or trade for) the Burner next off season.

The guy scored 8 TD's each of the past two seasons with Joey f'n Harrington throwing him the ball. Kitna is like Marino next to that piano playing pansy

The Burner in Pittsburgh? Holy ?*?*?**%%&?%(* . I can only dream about that! :D

you're missing my point. I do think Williams will be good this year, but throwing his name around with Tory Holt? Can we relax on the suck fest for awhile?

I might be on my own limb here, but Ronnie Brown and Steven Jackson. I haven't seen enough from either guy to merit where they're going in some drafts. At the #5 hole I'd be much more inclined to know what I'm getting and grab someone like Rudi Johnson than to take a chance on either.

St. Louis' line has looked decent in passing thus far, but suspect at running. I just have a feeling that Jackson will be good but not live up to top five or ten drafting status at year's end. The Ronnie Brown choice is more of a hunch. He'd have to make a pretty significant jump over his rookie numbers to satisfy the top five drafting status I've seen in some drafts.

Bush in a landslide - no recount necessary.

I've seen the guy get drafted in the first round of a redraft. 1st round  and no later than second.

It's really a race for 2nd place.

I am tired of the hype around Ben Watson.

He's not getting hyped but I think Edgerrin could be the biggest disappointment this year after Bush.

Maybe the reason people are hyping Williams is the driving force that made Holt great is moving to Williams' team while a coach emphasizing a balanced attack is coming to Holt's team. Not saying that Williams presto chango will be the next Holt, but the fact remains that Martz' teams have put up sick numbers. (Although I suspect that Williams is in for a monster season, he certainly is nowhere near as proven as Holt.)

Give me Chris Chambers and a bottle of anything. To go!
The #7 WR from last year is overhyped?
Yep.
W/o giving away subscriber content, you do realize he is not even ranked at 7 or higher right now.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize 7 was the breaking point. I looked at the other stiffs in this poll, thought, "Hmmm, Chambers is being drafted as high as any of them," and proceeded to include him. I don't care what he did in 4 games last year. I wouldn't draft him nearly as high as he's going 'cause I don't want 10 games of 4-39 to get to the payoff. I'd take any of the guys listed in the poll before him. And if you read the idiotic postings of half the morons around here, you'd see just how highly some people have him ranked. Maybe he'll go Herman Moore this season, but I don't buy that the guy is capable of staying in a game long enough mentally to make him worth drafting as a #1 WR. To me, that qualifies.

For the sake of discussion, let's say players whose ADPs are significantly ahead of where they should be, be it gut feeling or whatever.
