Who will be this years Aaron Rogers? (1 Viewer)

Aaron Rogers was being called a top 5 pick and a lot of people had him going #1 to San Fancisco in last years draft, then he fell to Green Bay at 24th overall.

So who will that guy be this year?

Will it be a QB again this year?

Or will it be a different position?

Vince Young or Mario Williams get my vote.
I agree with Vince Young however it wont be a nearly as far as Rogers last year.Mario Williams will be taken somewhere in the top 10, I promise you that.

Agreed. I see no demonstrable falls this year, except for in the late first rounders... I See Jean-Gilles and potentially Maroney falling a long, long way.

Doesnt really apply anymore, but Id feel confident in saying Rod Wright will be lucky to be a day 1 pick.

Kiwanikua will NOT be a first round pick IMO.

Vince Young was no worse than a top 3 pick for most of January and February. He will fall out of the top 10 by the time the draft roles around....

definitely..could see cutler falling back to earth too..john clayton on espn today, was talking like cutler might've hurt himself throwing at the combines...

With as much hype as Cutler has been getting, I could see him as this years Aaron Rodgers. He went from being the #3 or 4 ranked qb to being taken AHEAD of Leinart and Young. I'm not saying the kid is a bust...but it just seems like he is being so hyped and he may slide down into the high teens or 20's.

Please clarify. Hurt himself, as in injured his arm? Or hurt himself, as in dropped in scouts minds? Sounds like the former, but just want to make sure, and if so, it would be news to me.

Doubtful.....
Why? Ever see that throwing motion? Lack of accuracy? Why must you continue to throw your VY homerism in every thread?

The same reason there are like ten VY bashing threads on this board. It is ridiculous. Give the guy some credit. His throwing motion has hurt nothing. He went undefeated and single handidly beat the supposed "best college team ever."

sig'd.Btw, it's Kiwanuka, but nobody's keeping count ;) .

I think I would not be shocked to see Kiwanuka fall out of the first round, but then, by the time the draft rolls around, nobody is seeing him as a top 10-15 prospect anymore.

As far as surprises, the only player I can see having a crazy fall (e.g. Atiyyah Ellison falling from mid-day 1 prospect to the 6th round, or Brandon Browner being a 1/2 prospect to going in like the 7th round I think) I could seriously see Jean-Gilles falling a long way. An overweight guy with a questionable motor already is two strikes in my book. Also, Orien Harris I could see falling well into Day-2.

As far as "First Rounders", maybe Marcus McNeill could see a big drop. Also Antonio Cromartie might fall into the 2nd or third round and it would not surprise me at all. Maybe even Day 2.

John Clayton did not suggest Cutler hurt himself today, unless he changed his tune 180 degrees from this morning. What he DID say was the while Jay Cutler had a very good Combine and proved he belongs in the discussion among franchise QB prospects, Cutler lacked the "wow" factor and really did nothing to close the gap on Matt Leinart [and Vince Young], nor will he get serious consideration from teams at the very top of the draft.

Sort of what Casserly said, except people place alterior motives when he said it.
