As a Cowboy fan, I agree with those same things you mention about Brady and Peyton. Why, as a Colts fan, I think Brady is WAY more likely to win MVP this year than Peyton.
1. The Pats have a much easier schedule than the Colts this year.
2. And also have fewer pre-season injury ? than the Colts.
3. Because of 1 and 2 - the Pats will almost certainly have a better record than the Colts if you make the generous assumption that the two teams are equals on a given day.
4. If the Pats get a better regular season record than the Colts, then that must mean Peyton will have much better stats than Brady? Well, that clearly isn't what people think will happen since Brady's going to be the first QB taken in virtually every FF draft?
5. So - if the Pats get a better record than the Colts AND Brady gets better stats than Peyton - how will Peyton win MVP in that very likely scenario?
Easy tiger...The offseason tends to bring out some different topics in order to feed the fix. The beauty is you don't have to read the topics that are of no interest to you.Wow... How about a 2009 NFL mock draft?Ridiculous...

I don't understand the confusion here.Chase Stuart said:4. If the Pats get a better regular season record than the Colts, then that must mean Peyton will have much better stats than Brady? Teams with better records, on average, score more points. Teams that score more points, on average, have QBs that put up better stats. While the relationship isn't much greater than 50/50, if picking between two, I'd expect the stats of the QB on the team with the better record to be better than the stats of the QB on the team with the worse record. But like I said, that's just on average. I just don't see why you would expect the QB on the team with the worse record to have much better stats?I don't understand the confusion here.Chase Stuart said:4. I don't. That's my point - the Pats will probably have a better record than the Colts - and Brady will probably have at worst equivalent stats to Peyton. That translates to Peyton being unlikely to be MVP in 2008.Teams with better records, on average, score more points. Teams that score more points, on average, have QBs that put up better stats. Moss didn't win MVP last year, so do you expect him to do even better and win it this year? He had a total of ZERO votes for MVP last year.
