Who's you favorite fantasy player? (1 Viewer)

The question is simple, but I should point out that my response actually is looking at this from an "all time" perspective. I've been playing fantasy football for 21 years, but my favorite player of all time was LT. Tomlinson was my #1 pick as a rookie and I kept him until last year when I traded him for LeSean McCoy. He helped me win a lot of championships and was a class act as both a player and a person.

I am also a Faulk fan (literally I guess) for the same reasons as I mentioned above, but I traded for him a couple years into his career so it isn't the same as when you pick a guy and keep him for dang near his entire career.

So how about you? They don't have to be on your team, but who's your favorite?

Hard to not go with a guy I've owned. Hillis may prove to be a guy I'm eternally jealous of when it's all said and done.

Had Housh like a million different times and it always seemed like I drafted him at a bargain level so he's definitely in contention.

Have ADP now which is no-brainer territory so he's a thought.

Always will have a soft spot for Gerald Riggs ;) as I stole him for nothing and he got like a millino touchdowns for me.

You never forget your first stud and that would be Dalton Hilliard :bag:

But probably I have to go with a guy who was dropped in my lap as someone offered him to me for a player I was not going to protect. That would be Priest Holmes  who basically was the equivalent of having an extra RB to start.

I will always have a soft-spot for Patrick Jeffers...the ride he took me on in 1999 may never be duplicated...as time has gone by it feels likes he scored five TDs a game the end of that year...sometimes I wonder if it actually happened or if he's some sort of mystical fantasy figure I created...

Definitely Tomlinson.

Dude was my franchise player in my keeper league from his rookie year until last season.

Honorable mention: Shaun Alexander. Picked him up as a free agent in 2001 when Watters got banged up.

2005 I had Alexander and Tomlinson as keepers, then picked up Larry Johnson in like the 5th round of the draft. All 3 scored 20 or more TDs that year. Dream season that will never happen again.

pretty much whoever i own for that year that is doing good.

i guess i'll go with romo. have owned him for most of his career and he's good fantasy performer that is fun to watch. plus, playing for my fav team (dallas) helps obv.

Past: Ahman Green

Picked him up for a cheap price on my first ever fantasy team and rode him to the playoffs, with a mid-season assist from Trung Canidate. Always rooted for him after that.

Present: Calvin Johnson

I've never been more confident that a college player would become a hall of famer. Regardless of his situation/statistics, he always finds his way to the top of my WR cheatsheet and gets drafted 1 round ahead of where he should.

jerry rice. he was my first pick in my first year playing--in a rookies league--and i won because he was stud every friggin' week.

Calvin JohnsonI've never been more confident that a college player would become a hall of famer. Regardless of his situation/statistics, he always finds his way to the top of my WR cheatsheet and gets drafted 1 round ahead of where he should.
:) That's pretty much exactly what I came here to post.

Steve Young. 1st ever draft pick (1.04) in 1993. It was a new league that used the Miller Lite scoring system. Double points for out of position and distance bonus points.

Honorable mention to:

Boomer Esiason as a Bengal

Patrick Jeffers 12 td.s in 99.

Calvin JohnsonI've never been more confident that a college player would become a hall of famer. Regardless of his situation/statistics, he always finds his way to the top of my WR cheatsheet and gets drafted 1 round ahead of where he should.
:goodposting: That's pretty much exactly what I came here to post.
:goodposting: everytime he scores a touchdown I yell out in glee "I LOVE THAT MAN!!! NO, LIKE I AM LITERALLY IN LOVE WITH THAT MAN." The I get weird looks and ignore them...it seems he makes some kind of ridiculous catch that he had no business making or is just impressive because of his size every week. Also, as posted above I consistently draft him higher than he should.

Adrian Peterson. Pretty easy.
in a league that does not take off points for fumbles, maybe.
Your comments are soo last year.
Other than a sloppy handoff earlier this year that led to a lost fumble charged to Favre, Peterson hasn't turned the ball over once. He has touched the ball 249 times -- rushing attempts, plus receptions -- without a fumble, lost or recovered.

1998 Season Randy Moss's Rookie year got him Late...........

Terrell Davis with the First pick....

Only Undefeated Season Ever for me.

Love Moss after that. No matter what has happened. Him catching the ball from Randall Cunningham (my QB that Year) BTW was still one of my highlights ever playing FF.

LT, Chris Johnson, Warner and Westbrook - all guys I was fortunate enough to pick up cheap and led to championships.

If we are limited to one, it's LT. Just had him longer and won more with him.

Love guys like Priest Holmes, Miles Austin and Arian Foster who I picked up as free agents at some point (Foster at the end of last season). It is great to get that kind of elite production from a guy you got on the waiver wire. Those mid-season pickups will always have a special place in my heart.

Presently it's Jamaal Charles. Just love his attitude and ability and potential. Just seems like a cool dude. Who just got rich!

All time though, it's Drew Brees. I've found a way to own him in every important league I've been in. Just love the guy.

Been playing dynasty for 6 years now...

Love Roddy White. Picked him off waivers after week 1 of the '07 season after and owner got fed up with him and dropped him.

Arian Foster for the same reason. WW pickup at the end of last year (cause I owned Slaton).

Believe it or not, Favre. Drafted him 2nd to last round in initial dynasty draft of '07 in one league. Year after everyone though he was done (remember that)? He had a great year for the Pack, then for the Jets (until the fantasy playoffs :lmao: ) and then for the Vikes. In a 2QB, QB heavy league. I could NEVER trade him because no one thought he would come back the next year.

If I'm answering based on fantasy and enjoying the excitement of watching these guys blow up and push my team over the top then here's guys who have or are doing it for me in the last few seasons as well as some heroes from the 90s...

Currently: MJD/Chris Johnson/Calvin Johnson/Mike Vick

Past: Cris Carter/Herman Moore/Jerry Rice had a tremendous early to mid 90s run that was a lot of fun. Marshall Faulk and Kurt Warner doing the "greatest show on turf" was awesome. Never got to own them in their monster seasons but boy was I jealous of Emmit Smith/Priest Holmes and LT2 owners during their monster seasons.

When it comes to all around ability, combined with enthusiasm and love of the game, MJD is a player I  to watch, not only because of his mad skills, but also because you can just tell he's having a lot of fun out there, and it's contagious. Also, I can't help but smile every time I think about

I used to like Clinton Portis a lot.

Now it's Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson, and I live auction leagues cause that's the only way I can get them!

i feel like this is the only thread in the forum where eveyone can voice there opinion without getting argued with....great thread faulk fan :goodposting:

Until a debate breaks out about whether Chris Johnson or Calvin Johnson is the better CJ...Hey, it's Christmas and we are heading into a season of college bowl games and the NFL playoffs. Can you tell me a better time to be alive?

I have always hated Jeffers for the same reason. Cost me a title.

Past: Priest Holmes and TO (the 49er). They double handedly won me my first (and only) championship. Loved both of those guys back in the day.

Honorable mention: Kurt Warner (the Ram), Edge James (the Colt), Ahman Green (the Packer).

Now: Andre Johnson (I truly hate the term man-crush .. but .. yeah), Arian Foster (drafted him in the 10th this year and have developed a deep seeded love for that cat), Chris Johnson (owned him all 3 years and get goose bumps watching him in the open field).

Honorable mention: Dallas Clark, Lesean McCoy, Drew Brees.

Cool thread.

Unfortunately my favorite player is Ronnie Brown. I always seem to draft him or trade for him. Runner up is Andre Johnson, always draft him when I have the chance.

Billy Volek won me a championship one year.

Picked up MJD one game into his rookie season and rode him to gold.

Domanick Davis was on my squad all three years of his shooting star career.

All time, though, it has to be Reggie Wayne.

I really like watching Bradshaw play. For a player of his size, he plays with such aggressiveness, which I enjoy.

If we are talking of all time, then it would have to be Priest Holmes. That guy was amazing. He could put up 40 fantasy points in a HALF.

Robert Meachem because he might only make 1 cath a game but it might be a 80yd td bomb because he is the MAN of speed and destruction

It has to be Marcus Colston.

In his rookie year, under Yahoo, he was registered as a "TE/WR" eligible player.

Loved him ever since!!!
