Why are all of the youtube links in here suddenly appearing in the German language? (1 Viewer)

The shortener url is youtu.be, and the .be makes the translator think the host is in Belgium, so it brings it up in German.

I, for one, do not like that many posters just post a youtube link and a twitter link without any context, because there is no useful information about the link before it's clicked. All I see is a little box that says "Youtu.be" and some German words. Or a little box that says "X.com" and nothing after it. Useless to the forum conversation, I'm not clicking the link unless the poster provides context or quotes the tweet.

Thanks. Is there an easy fix we can ask people to do when the share a link so it's not translated to german?

Is there something we can do?

At one time here a YouTube link showed the album cover and name of the artist, as well as a description of the song.
All in English believe it or not.

Odd, since only a tiny part of Belgium speaks German, the rest is split between Dutch and French.

I imagine this is a setting in the forum software. It maybe able to be customized. It could be an add-on or a package.

This add on seems to do translations into German for YouTube links:

This add on also does other performance improvements, the translation is a small bit so it’s possible you’re using this?
