Why did someone just pick up..... (1 Viewer)

John Gruden was joking in an interview when asked who he may bring in to replace Pittman that there is a certain RB who has a brother on the Bucs that would be a great addition to the team.

 
But he did say on NBC last night that he missed the game, and hinted pretty heavily that he might come back.

 
Jamal Anderson, Barry Sanders, Ricky Watters, and Terrell Davis were spotted outside the Bucs training facility this morning.

They were holding an impromptu wheelchair race for charity.

Well, they probably saw a story about Tiki hinting at a return like this one.

If I am not mistaken, I believe a player has to sit out an entire year once he submits retirement papers. If that is the case, the owner in your redraft league is simply wasting a roster spot.

Wow, I might need to drop Selvin Young (who I dropped Brian Leonard for) to pick up Tiki.

His contract wasn't up in NY (I believe). So if he does decide he wants to play on the same team as his brother, logic would have it that Tampa would probably need to come up with a Vikings for Hershel Walker type draft pick package for the Giants to give up his rights.

 
As an earlier poster said, I believe he has to sit out a year since he filed for retirement.

Also, I think the Giants would own his rights anyways.

Yes, they own his rights. And he'd have to return to his power-lifting regimen to return to game shape.He was armored for contact via a serious nutrition and training routine. So yeah..As a giants fan I would definitely trade him if the price was right. I'm thinking a second round pick would do it.I'm pretty happy with our big backfield of Derek Ward and Jacobs. We'll see if they can stay healthy.

I was thinking about him last week. I'm pretty sure that he never formally retired. :D
 
I should create a poll on who is more likely to get carries with TB this year. Tiki Barber or Ronde Barber?

Now THERE'S an idea! They're twins! Why wouldn't Gruden put Ronde in the backfield??? I need to go pick up BOTH Barbers...
