Why evolution and creationism should be taught side by side (1 Viewer)

Evolution is only a theory and hasn't been proven as fact.

Creationism is also a theory and deserves equal treatment.

It's not fair to only teach one side of an issue.
People should be able to choose for themselves what they want to believe and not have it dictated to them.

Therefore I'm proposing that states mandate the teaching of evolution alongside creationism in church.

My theory is a giant dragon farted out the world. It is a theory, and it is not fair if you do not teach it side by side with all other theories

i also believe gravity is actually dragon magic making our feet sticky and want that taught

and my theory of relativity has to do with Kevin Bacon

you must instruct the kids on my theories, it is only fair

I agree! I remember when my sons were going through school i told them to humor the teacher, learn the material on evolution, take the tests but its all garbage. Ill do the same with my girls.

oh and i forgot, I also have a theory that justin timberlake is god's second son, and god likes him a lot better than Jesus, as evidenced by Jesus (apparently) being made to remain celibate while JT gets to do the nasty with Jessica Biel

Both sons did well in college so i have no complaints. They werent able to brain wash them like they do most kids. That strong DNA prevailed ;)

Are you SURE you agree?

Also, kinda pissed Germ THEORY of disease is the only one being taught. Surely the view that God causes diseases as punishment for sin should be taught as well...

Oh, yeah, I didn't get that far either. I knew S.Bob was joking, but I didn't make it to the punchline.

Somebody was in too much of a hurry to squeeze this argument in to bother reading the OP.

Haha.

Well....

See public education belongs to everyone while religious education belongs to those who privately subscribe.

However, why public schools who insist can't just teach theology in a world religions class and include creationism as part of that (and way outside science class)... I have no idea.

This is awful.
My coworkers and myself were sitting around this morning laughing at all the evolution, monkey-lizard man nonsense. I always get a kick out of it anyway lol
I am sure you were. The ignorant love showing it off. It's so sad that being ignorant is now some badge to be proud of.
lol

I saw a fantastic documentary years ago. I believe it was called Return To Gallapogos. One interesting feature was that people could e-mail the scientists with questions while they were exploring. One question read, "Now that you've seen Gallapogos for yourself, what do you think about Darwin's theory of evolution?" The scientist replied, "If you could see what I am seeing every day here, you'd know it's not a theory. It's a fact."

If you're going to disprove evolution, don't ever resort to calling evolution a theory. It's a scientific theory. Which means that the evidence is proven over and over again until it's disproven.

So apparently Linus Marr isn't just into gay black men; he's into heavily evolved gay black men. Only the finest specimens will do.

All beliefs should be treated equally.
