Will Brady break Brees's record? (1 Viewer)

He's at 43 consecutive games with a TD pass right now. He could get to 48 by the end of this year, which means he could break the record Brees set in their 7th game of the 2013 season.

I would vote yes. The only factor that Brady has to endure that Brees did not, is weather. I could see a blizzard in Foxboro making him fall short....outside of that, I think he gets there.

Last blizzard I remember them playing in Foxboro they scored 59 points against the Titans.

So you're saying there's a chance (Dumb and Dumber)Ok - I was just speculating

Odds are like 99% if he gets past the 49ers this week.in a couple of weeks.

If he doesn't, it would most likely be due to some kind of injury early in a game.

Edit: Or it would be similar to the last game Brady didn't throw a TD pass: A meaningless Week 17 game where he only played a few series.

I wrote about the odds of Brees' breaking Unitas' streak here: http://www.footballperspective.com/analyzing-drew-brees-pursuit-of-johnny-unitas-legendary-streak/

For Brady to throw a TD in his next twelve games, I think the highest odds you can give him would be (0.94^12) 48%. And that probably understates things like weather, him getting hurt, facing really tough Ds, etc.
Well he's either going to do it or not do it, so it's 50%. You must've made a rounding error in your calculations.

Factor in Brady & belicheck's greed to re-write the record books and it bumps to my 99% chance. Guaranteed that they are licking their lips at this record as much as they did beating Manjning's TD mark and the undefeated season.

:goodposting: But we should give him some credit for only missing by 2%.

AFC East is scheduled to play NFC South next season. Great setup would be week 7: New Orleans vs New England on SNF or MNF!

Make it happen!!!

Honestly, who gives a ####? It's obviously not that great of a feat in today's NFL when 2 guys can break a long-standing record within a year or two.
