Will Braylon Edwards Light up his old team or will Holmes over shadow him and have the better game... Great Matchup for both!

Braylon Edwards had one year above average when he was with the Browns.

Before that and since he has been mediocre or worse.

Holmes will definitely be better against the Browns.

I'm glad it's working out for Braylon. NYC needed someone new to drop the ball on New Year's Eve and there's no one better.

This is an interesting game, lots of story lines.

Ryan vs. Ryan- Rex did a press conference today with a wig and Browns sweatshirt mocking his brother. He answered some questions in his brother's persona, pretty funny stuff. Rex said when he called Rob to trash talk, other Browns coaches came in and it went on the speaker phone.

Rex and Mangini have been friends for a long time, since Mangini was DC for NE. Rex said he has requested interview rights for his brother the past 2 years, but said he knows the Browns won't pemit it, but he does it just to make them do the paperwork(with a chuckle).

Next is Edwards, looking to show CLE they made a mistake. On the flip side, Chansi Stuckey is probably looking forward to playing his old team as well. Stuckey plays the slot, (correct me if I'm wrong) and that is where the Jetsd pass D is weakest, crossing paterns and slants over the middle. Look at what Burelson did to the Jets last Sunday.

Oh, if you want to see Rex's presser, it's up at the Jets' team site. Ryan really doesn't care who doesn't like his schtick... but I can't name another NFL HC that seems to have as much fun and enjoys being a HC as much as Ryan does. His press conferences are must sees for Jets fans.

Back on topic, both of these defenses can be very difficult to figure in terms of game plans. Both will try to stop the run and dare the other to pass. Both will stubbornly try to make the running game work. Both offenses sooner or later will figure out that they have to pass the ball to move the chains, although Hillis looks to be near unstoppable right now. Mangini knew how to attack the NE rush D. Between Rob Ryan and Mangini, they just might be able to run with Hillis.

From a FF standpoint, I'd prefer to stay away from this game completely if I had other acceptable options. Certainly Edwards will be out there playing his best, and I'd start him over Holmes if I had that choice. Of all the Jets offensive players, I think I like Keller best.

Seems I have a admirer boys seems like littleFat#### has nothing better to do that to follow my threads lol!!!! Love the extra attention heres a kiss from me to you!!! Muahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'd say the browns key in on Edwards to stop him from having a good game...therefore Holmes probably will be the better play

I said it in another thread but, IMO the Jets HAVE TO mix it up.....

They can't run LT into 9 man fronts all day and let games come down to the end...

Sanchez and Co. loved running the 2 minute offense and looked good at the end of last week..

CLE will stack the box.... COME OUT THROWING..... FEED BRAYLON'S EGO!!!!!

PLAY ACTION PASS......

See if you can get a friggin TD early and some kind of a lead in a game and THEN run the ball, and I say use Greene a lot more and soften things up and then use LT.

He's having a pretty good year so far -- I wouldn't call it mediocre at least.
He has less than a 50% completion ratio. If you extend his stats over an entire year, he won't reach 50 catches or 900 yards. That is mediocre from my point of view.
No... he is exactly on pace for 50 catches and over 900 yards, and 10 (TEN) TD's. He has only ONE drop this year. ONE. He has made every big catch he needed to make this year. Last year was a very different story. Did you know Edwards worked out with one of those passing machines during the entire off season? Working on his hands. It seems to have worked. Ryan simply knew and knows how to get the best out of Edwards, and he has responded in spades for the Jets. Mediocre? If he's mediocre, I'll sign up for 3 mediocre WR's in my line up every week.

Depends in a TD heavy league Holmes is totally worthless ( This guy never scores ) ..Edwards will catch 2 ball for 75 yds and a 50yds TD , why not play him ..Of course i am talking TD heavy league ...

also in performance leagues with bonuses for long plays, dude has been over 20 points nearly every week.

In week 1 it was almost a given that Edwards would lose the "Holmes or Edwards resign in 2011" war. Holmes has done fine, but Edwards' play has done nothing to take him out of the running. In fact, minus the DUI, I would think that it is a forgone conclusion that Edwards has done nothing but help his chances of being offered a contract at the end of the year. All the CBA stuff aside, it would not surprise me if Edwards and Holmes stayed and Cotchery is shown the door in 2011.

Maybe, but it's more likely both team will light up eachother's kicker, take them out of the game so one can win the game fair and square.

Will Braylon Edwards Light up his old team or will Holmes over shadow him and have the better game... Great Matchup for both!

I'm in for $5 to the TJ Ward fine fund if he can take care of some bidniss.
In for 100.Kidding. Seriously, Braylon is a nobody. Who cares?
I didn't know the midwest grew grapes. Probably a bad idea, as apparently they are quite sour.
Yeah, who it had so many wineries.
Take a look at Cleveland.com, Braylon started whining about Cleveland the minute he got on the plane home from Detroit. Dude's got some self confidence issues to address.

It's why stone hands had to leave; can't have Osama driving around drunk all the time.

I think he will do well against NYJ..Browns will stop the run and force Sanchez to throw.a lot.Browns are giving up an avg of 240.5 pass yards/gm, good for 8th worst pass defense in the NFL.7th worst in passing tds allowed.10th worst in avg per attempt, 7.4they rank 17th in attempts/gm, 34.513th worst in comp % allowed, they've given up 27 passing plays of 20+ yards, 7th worst in the NFLthey rank 22nd in sacks.they don't get after the QB...recent big games by WR's against Browns:Roddy White, 5/101/1tdT.O - 10/222/1tdBoldin - 8/142/3TDMike Wallace 3/90/1Hines Ward 5/54/1Colston 10/142/1When motivated, Edwards can be a beast of a WR...
