Missing mini camps, TC's & pre season with a mysterious hammy injury that did not show up on multiple MRI's. Riding a stationary bike in a Tour De France cycling outfit to get the medias attention, while the rest of his teammates were busting their butts on the practice field.

Missing some rehabs for the mysterious hammy injury.

Late or missed team meetings.

Sleeping through team meetings.

OD'ed on some perscription or another.

Spitting in other players faces.

And the latest public comments blaming his drops on not getting the ball early in games (apparently TO develops brick mason hands if he's not thrown to early & often).

But yeah, other than those few things, TO has been the model teammate & no distraction at all
His antics riding a Tour De France outfit was funny. I don't see anything wrong with playing up the media. I would rather have a healthy player that will play huge role in the team getting to the playoffs then forcing him to come back yearly. So he was late for a meeting. Go find players that aren't. Everything he does gets 100% attention than a Hines Ward type. I can remember Ward complaining during the year as well.

Prescription overdose was a accident and it had no effect.

The spitting incident was bad, but lucky for him the video never showed this or it could of been worse.
While you & me on the outside, might have thought the Tour De France thing was funny, I doubt his teammates, who were busting their butts in the hot summer practices, thought it was very cool to look over & see TO on the sidelines yucking it up with the media for a mysterious hammy injury that no amount of MRI's could find. And what about the missed rehabs for said mysterious hammy injury, that didn't show up any multiple MRI's?

It wasn't just one team meeting he was late for, but several. I also guess you think it's cool for him to sleep through the team meetings that he does manage to grace his presence with.

The OD was an accident huh? Yeah...Ok...whatever. I don't know anybody who can accidently choke down a whole bottle of pills. That's one whopper of an accident.

And the prescription OD had no effect? Dude, it was a freakin' media frenzy with reporters cruising the dallas facility like sharks smelling blood in the water. Parcells had to devote a lot of time & energy to damage control. That time & effort could have been better spent focusing on other more important matters...like preparing for the next game.

But hey, if you want to think his antics this year caused no distractions for the Cowboys, go ahead & knock yourself out.
We all must see how the rest of the season plays out. If the Boys are eliminated early then their will be some issues. I mean issues as to see what Jerry Jones does for the upcoming year. The coaching has been subpar at best. The defense is still very young and the Ellis injury is more a problem than most are admitting.

I see someone has been drinking a little too much egg-nog. It's not that TO hasn't done things to draw attention to himself. Its the things he says that continue to get him in trouble. He comments on himself and the team and the same comments coming from others isn't as bad because of TO's past. TO has done many dumb things, but as a Cowboy fan he is a player that I would like to see more consistency from of course. TO is welcome to play for the Boys all he wants as long as he produces, which he does. I believe Glenn needs to be involved much more though. When TO was an Eagle I didn't like him, but his talent was scary to face. I'm glad to have him on my team.

Owens' production concerns owner

Jones knows T.O. will drop balls, but Cowboys need him to make plays

11:21 PM CST on Tuesday, December 26, 2006

By CALVIN WATKINS / The Dallas Morning News

Terrell Owens is second in the NFC in scoring, tied for sixth in catches and is fifth in receiving yards.

Yet, Owens has a league-leading and career-high 14 dropped passes, including two in Monday night's loss to Philadelphia.

Is owner/general manager Jerry Jones happy with Owens' production?

"I'm not OK with his production, everything relative," Jones said on his Tuesday morning radio show on KTCK-AM (1310). "One of the things that happens [is] when you got a receiver that does a great job with run after the catch, those receivers usually have more drops than possession-type receivers that don't do much after the catch."

Owens has 346 yards after a catch, seventh among receivers and 20th overall.

"T.O. had drops when we got him," Jones said. "But we got him for just that, the run after the catch. You might have noticed after the game Philadelphia spent their time saying 'we weren't going to let T.O. go anywhere.' And that should have opened some other things up."

Owens had two catchable balls that he dropped. He let one ball go through his hands on a third and long along the sidelines where Jones was standing. Owens said he was bumped by the defender and that by the time he regained his concentration, the ball was right up on him.

"I was very disappointed in that catch along the sidelines," Jones said. "I think he did get out of bounds a little bit. I was standing literally right there. I'm afraid he would go out of bounds, now that's no excuse because the ball was still dropped."

Said Tony Romo: "I think all receivers are going to drop balls. As a quarterback, you understand that."

Probably depends on which TO era you're talking about. TO pre Cowboys (whether with the 49er's or Eagles), I bet 100% of Cowboys fans would vote against.

Example...

When TO was an Eagle I didn't like him
But now that TO is a Cowboy, we'd probably see the 75% for, 25% against, like you're saying. Of course it would be a false reading, because many Cowboy fans I know, secretly can't stand the guy & are grudgingly saying they're willing to put up with his crap, only because of the uniform he now wears.Once TO is on another team, I figure 100% of Cowboy fans will go back to their true feelings of being 110% against him.

And jcool, I think you'll be able to be honest with yourself again & quit having to defend this turd, as early as 2007.

I know it'll be a relief for you.

There's many players we dislike, but would love to have them on our team, right? If your going to quote me be sure to add the entire quote.

Cowboy fan here, and I want him off the team this instant. It has nothing to do with drops or production. It has to do with leadership. He has not shown leadership, respect, or even the maturity of a 12 year old. Ever. He's a me-me-me player. Leadership. He slept through that class...

I talked to a buddy from Dallas who was at the game and he said the crowd was getting ugly toward Owens late in the game because of his constant sideline pouting. Showing up Romo. What would TO do if Romo jumped around waving his arms and pouting every time TO drops a pass?I think it will be one and done for Owens in Dallas.
I'd like to see him disappear from football altogether. The interview after the game was priceless. My six year old does not pout as much as Owens. Everytime Owens opens his mouth he says something more stupid than the last.

I think that the Cowboys are misusing T.O. His hands need to warmed up early in the game so that they can make plays late in the game when it matters.

I would have Owens sit out all of the 1st half (or maybe up to the 2 minute warning if the Boys have the ball). However, instead of sitting on the bench, I would have Bledsoe simply throw balls to him non-stop on the sidelines during the first half. In particular I would work on the short little curl pattern that was dropped on Turkey Day for a critical 1st down.

I'm a 'Skins fan, not a Cowboys fan, and I believe that you're indicative of the majority of devoted (as opposed to fair weather/front-running) Cowboys fans out there.

Joe Theisman was correct in saying he's the worst person in all of sports. I hope he retires today.
The worst person in all of sports? I'm not sure who I would say is, but it isn't TO. There are athletes who use illegal drugs, beat their wifes, continuously break other laws, sleep around, etc, etc, etc. These types of athletes are worse than TO. TO has issues, but the hyperbole surrounding him is only exceeded by the amount of attention he receives.Hell, Joe Theisman is worse than TO. At least when TO is done playing I will rarely hear from him.

1. Owens has worn out his welcome with Dallas, no way Dallas wants him back.2. There is a 50-50 chance Owens will be back in Dallas.3. Owens will be back in Dallas despite his antics. This was going to be a poll but I botched it. Timeline of Terrell Owens' AnticsWide receiver Terrell Owens has made his mark in the NFL as a great receiver, but his impact on the league hasn't always been on a positive note. About Football has put together this timeline featuring some of Owens' more infamous antics during his NFL career. 2000 - During an October contest in Dallas, Owens celebrated scoring a touchdown by running to midfield of Texas Stadium and posing on the star logo of the Cowboys. He later repeated his actions following another TD and was blindsided by the Cowboys' George Teague. 2001 - After blowing a 19-point lead in Chicago and losing in overtime, the disgruntled receiver accused head coach Steve Mariucci of protecting good friend **** Jauron, head coach of the Bears 2002 - In an October contest on Monday Night Football in Seattle, Owens pulled a 'Sharpie' marker out of his sock after catching a TD pass.He then proceeded to autograph the ball and hand it to his financial adviser sitting in an end zone luxury suite rented by Shawn Springs, the CB he had just beaten on the play. 2002 - After scoring a touchdown in a December contest with the Green Bay Packers, Owens celebrated with a pair of Pom-Poms borrowed from a 49ers cheerleader. 2003 - Following a bumpy season that included several sideline and locker room tirades by Owens, he and the team decided to part ways. 2004 - Owens’ agent failed to meet a free agency deadline in March, making him ineligible to become a free agent. Because they retained his rights, the 49ers then traded him to the Baltimore Ravens, but Owens refused to report to his new team. He expressed his desire to play in Philadelphia with Donovan McNabb, and filed a grievance, claiming he should be granted free agency. After a series of negotiations, a deal was worked out between the three teams which sent Owens to Philadelphia where he signed a seven-year, $49 million deal against the advice of the players’ union. 2004 - In an interview with Playboy magazine, Owens said that that ex-teammate Jeff Garcia was gay, a claim he later recanted. 2004 - In a November contest with the Baltimore Ravens, after scoring a touchdown, Owens openly mocked Ray Lewis by performing the middle linebacker’s trademark celebration dance. 2004 - In a Monday Night contest later that month, Owens appeared in a controversial skit to kick off the network’s presentation of the game which resulted in an FCC investigation. 2005 - Owens hired agent Drew Rosenhaus in April and announced he was not happy with his new contract. He also tells CNBC that, despite making $7.5 million in 2004, he needs a new contract to “feed his family.”. 2005 - After hinting that he might hold out of training camp, Owens shows up with a bad attitude, refusing to acknowledge the media or speak to his teammates. After a confrontation with head coach Andy Reid, he was suspended for one week. 2005 - During an interview with ESPN's Graham Bensinger on November 3, Owens took shots at the Eagles franchise for not publicly recognizing his 100th touchdown catch. During the interview he stated the Eagles showed a "lack of class". He also suggested the Eagles would be better off with Packers QB Brett Favre instead of Donovan McNabb. 2005 - On November 4, Owens issued a half-hearted apology through the media, but failed to deliver comments regarding Donovan McNabb, which head coach Andy Reid insisted he include. 2005 - Owens was suspended November 5 by the Eagles for the club's contest against the Washington Redskins on November 6. 2005 - On November 7, Owens' suspension was stretched to four games, and head coach Andy Reid added that Owens would not play for the remainder of the season. 2006 - On March 14, the Eagles cut Owens just one day before he was due a $5 million roster bonus. 2006 - On July 5, Owens released a tell-all book revealing his side of the story associated with his time in Philadelphia. 2006 - On July 13, Owens claimed he was misquoted in his autobiography. Owens blamed the use of the word 'heroic" in association with his return for Super Bowl XXXIX on his co-author. 2006 - On August 3, Owens missed the first of 14 consecutive days of practice because of a hamstring problem despite an MRI two days later revealing no major problems. After returning to practice for several days, Owens claimed he re-aggravated the injury because his coaches pushed him back to the playing field too soon. This time he didn't return to practice until August 29. 2006 - On August 10, while still out with an injured hamstring, Owens drew attention to himself by wearing the silver and blue uniform of Lance Armstrong's Discovery Channel pro cycling team and not Cowboy team gear while riding a stationary bicycle on the sidelines. 2006 - On September 26, Owens was taken by ambulance to Baylor University Medical Center for what was thought to be a suicide attempt. The following day, Owens denied trying to kill himself, claiming a mixture of pain pills and supplements caused him to be "out of it" when talking to emergency respondents 2006 - On October 11, Owens had a run-in with receivers coach Todd Haley. After being chastised for showing up late for practice (he later explained he was in the bathroom), Owens and Haley tangled during a meeting later in the day. 2006 - On December 16, in a victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Owens spit in the face of cornerback DeAngelo Hall.
Add his televised sideline tirade directed towards OC Greg Knapp when he was with the 49ers. That moment right there cemented his malcontent status.edit: Also add his public lobbying for Tim Rattay to start over Garcia.

I loved Owens when he was with the Eagles.

I love Owens with the Cowboys.

I hope he goes to the Giants next.

sincerely,

Washington Redskins

Reading this stuff it shocks me that some people STILL believe this crap. TO is a washed up, injury prone WR with less that aveage hands and he runs poor routes.
Are you insane? Look at his numbers this year with a completely tarnished hand! I never knew that 79 receptions, 1,063 yards, and 12 TD's was washed up. When healthy, Terrell Owens is without doubt the BEST wide reciever in the national football league. After he catches that ball (which he does with ease with two healthy hands), bringing down Owens is like bringing down a truck. Next year, when Owens is still in a Dallas uniform, he will prove to the world why he is NOT washed up, and NOT an "average" reciever. He will also lead Dallas to the Superbowl.

i dont think he will be back in Dallas next year

too much of a headcase.. crayton will be given every opportunity to shine next year and should be good.

that said teh season isnt over and if T.O produces some great performances I think that can overshadow all the antics.. still dont think it would be enough to bring him back though

After he catches that ball (which he does with ease with two healthy hands),
 He has always had an issue with drops. Once he even cried on the sidelines because of a dropped pass.It would be more accurate to say "If he catches the ball, he is a serious threat."

He averages 1 drop per game... ...to be more accurate, he is always a serious threat before he attempts to catch the ball.
