This afternoon on Mad Dog Radio on Sirius/XM the afternoon host (who probably did the onsite play by play last night at his alma mater's homecoming game) stunned me with a statement about Monday's game and the return of the real NFL officials. He said we should expect the returning refs to give advantages to the Packers for getting screwed and for them to also come down hard on Seattle because they got a win they didn't deserve. Unfortunately I was listening in the car and got to work at that time so I heard no comments about the topic. Anybody here have an opinion on this? I think he's wrong on a couple of accounts. While I believe "make up calls" exist in pro sports, especially basketball and baseball, I think they are much fewer and farther between in the NFL because the plays can be analyzed so much from so many angles. I also believe if there is a time for correcting outcomes on thr fly, the time for that is as soon as possible after a blown call. Finally, I can't imagine what the incentive would be for tha real refs to come to the aid of their scab counterparts and the league in instances where their own performance will be scrutinized.
