WIPEOUT - season 7 (still awesome with Jill) (1 Viewer)

This show is a train wreck that my kids and I love to watch together, good family humor at other peoples expense.

Did anyone notice the trash-talker flailing around in the water after the catapault? It was comedy gold!

The catapult and the hurdles make the show this year. I still love a good punch in the face or nads, but the hurdle ride that one chick took, they need to package that one up and sell it. Boatloads I tell you!! :wall:

I was thinking those hurdle things looked pretty dangerous if you got caught under one. Not complaining, though.

So, our DVR botched last night's recording and ended right when the Cheap Date guy finished.

Got a question:
No, not really. I was hoping for an entertainingly awkward interview at the end, but I don't think there was much made of it. The announcers made some comment about how he won 50k and the hostess girl won a cheap steak or something like that. Nothing very memorable. You didn't miss much.

I would let her ride me as well.

GB the black chick getting stuck on the hurdle and giving it a solid ride

Loved this last summer. Didn't see it last night. Did they get rid of the other guy? Jon Henson is  and doesn't need that Dunkleman knock-off.

I love this show. I could watch people get folded in half bouncing off the big balls in slo-mo all day long.

thought for sure the Life Guards were going to have to jump in.. He hit the water and couldn't seem to figure out how to get his head back above..

The obstacles this year are much improved over last. For those who did not watch:

At the Big Balls platform there's a huge pendulum pad thing that pushes you off if you stand there for more than a few seconds.

They added some vertically moving padded hurdles they have to get over. I think about a dozen of them. They actually look pretty dangerous. Guys were getting nut shots like you wouldn't believe.

The big balls have to be basically impossible for anyone going later. Once those things get slicked up by the mud, there's no way you're making it over them. I think you'd be better off trying to use the first ball as a trampoline and launching yourself forward and to the side, landing virtually on your feet and swimming the rest of the way.

I loved the post-game interview with the woman who ran the qualifier in like 9:33 when the top half were running it in 2:45-3:30.

Jill: That was one of the fastest times we've seen today!

9-minute: Seriously?

Jill: No.

The highlight IMO from last night was this big balls run:

Big Ball 1: lands on feet in jumping position

Big Ball 2: lands on stomach after slipping on the jump

Big Ball 3: lands sitting up and stable after flipping over from the stomach landing

Big Ball 4: hits with feet and falls off because he shorted the jump

I could watch Big Balls Wipeouts all day.
Was the greatest thing ever.

I'm coming around on the Johns. When the female boxer landed on her rump during the Thrilla on the Treadmilla, an orange cone popped up behind her, like it shot out of her bum. A simple "what?", and I'm giggling like a school girl.

This season is even better than the first. I like the catapult to start the wipeout zone. Also, getting to press the buttons for the hurdles would be pretty fun.

I found the show to be pretty amusing last year, but again you have the legend that is the Japanese show.

However, it is now a must watch in my house. My 7 year old caught it last week, and I've never heard him laugh as hard as he did last week. He loved Muttonchops and Julie Wong from Hong Kong (he called her name out every time). The show itself is improved over last year, but to have my boy absolutely losing it every time one of these goobers bust is
