With Brady's hurt wheel (1 Viewer)

lol @ all these stupid posts....he's a stud!!! There is absolutly no one in the league you would or should bench him for, even if he loses his foot, he still can throw more TD's the half the bums in the league!!!Brady = play him every week you can!!!STOP OVER COACHING PEOPLE!!!
I disagree. Brady hasn't played in a game since the loss to NY. He hasn't even been practicing all that long. They won't throw him into the fray as they don't need to against KC. They will get him some work but not expose him to injury, it's a long season ahead. They will handily beat KC running the ball, passing occasionally and playing defense at home. I would not be surprised to see him exit the game early after posting modest numbers. He's not a 2nd or 3rd year starting qb so he doesn't need to "catch up" all in one week. I'm starting Favre instead this week hoping the weather doesn't slow down the Jets passing game. IMHO

So why is Brady now a huge red flag for people yet Manning is good to go and few are downgrading him? Brady DIDN'T have surgery and hasn't practiced much. Manning DID have surgery and hasn't practiced much but people are jumping for joy at his prospects. Why aren't we debating whether Addi will rush for 200 yards on 40 carries this week?

Question...when was Tomlinson's last game? This is becoming common practice for the big-ticket "investments" of the NFL. Sure he's got a broken bone in his foot. My feeling is that if he plays he'll play until the game is "in-hand" and then they'll yank him. I tend to think they might do this bum wheel or not in the first game of the year (considering he went sans preseason action).

For the first time in three years (or thererabouts), Tom Brady IS NOT listed on this week's injury report.
But by all accounts he has a broken bone in his foot. Great. I friggin hate Belichick.
I have seen Brady practicing this week (at least on tape) and he looks to be moving without any limitations and shows no signs of being hurt. IMO, this is much ado about close to nothing.Even if the info in this thread were accurate (I'm not saying it is or it isn't), we're pretty much at the point where they say he would be healed up anyway. This whole thing is getting WAY blown out of proportion.

The fact that he is not listed on an injury report for the first time in 3 years makes me more nervous...in some strange way.

Healthy outlook for Brady

With Tom Brady's absence from the Patriots' injury report this week, what some might consider the second-most famous 56-game streak in sports history comes to a quiet end.

The franchise quarterback's name does not appear on the injury report for the first time since the opening game of the 2005 season. Brady had been listed as "probable" with a right shoulder injury every game for four seasons, including 48 regular-season and eight playoff games.

It is the clearest sign yet that the 2007 NFL Most Valuable Player is ready for Sunday's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. Brady, who has been dealing with a sore right foot, did not take a snap during the Patriots' four preseason games, but had full participation in practice yesterday.

Of course, Brady's most important streak remains alive: He has made 127 straight regular season and playoff starts, the third-longest among quarterbacks, trailing Brett Favre (272) and Peyton Manning (174).

Brady is likely to be without one of his targets Sunday: tight end Benjamin Watson, who had 36 catches for 389 yards and six touchdowns a season ago, is listed as doubtful with a knee injury.
