It's closing time, the end of your draft, who are you targeting for your last pick if anyone?

Me:

Craig Davis

Skins D

David Boston

Please post your scoring system, starting lineup requirements, # of teams and # of rounds. It will make it easier for us to help you in your decision.

12 Team, 3 keeper, 12 rounds. We drafted the last weekend of July. My last pick was the 11.7.

With my last pick of the 2007 draft I selected...

EEEEEEE

BRANDON MARSHALL!!!

:goodposting:I don't have any decisions to make yet. I've got a few different leagues, a few different scoring systems. I have yet to have a draft - have a few coming up this weekend - I just thought it would be fun to see who people might be targeting with their "mr. irrelevant" pick. Sorry if that's irritated you for some reason, as it seems to have.

My starting kicker/defense.
:goodposting: I often do that with my kicker, it just seems there are more non-kicker goodies hanging around at the end this year than normal. I'll have to bump one or the other up a round I figure.

Wow - seems like he should have gone much sooner in that kind of league, if not already kept.

I just took Bryant Johnson and James Jones with my last pick in two drafts.

Let us not argue the merits of drafting a top kicker or not. Else I will point out that often there is no reason to draft a PK at all unless required by the rules. Pick one up off waivers and leave that slot for someone to evaluate in preseason.

I got Morency - 10 teams, 16 rounds. The rookie RB went earlier as this is a keeper league. If Morency recovers and starts I got a starting RB with pick 160. If not he gives me someone to drop.

pat crayton
pigskin and all that...Terry Glenn - WR - Cowboys Cowboys WR Terry Glenn aggravated his injured knee at practice today. Glenn was already unlikely to play this weekend, and this set-back extends an already prolonged recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery. Glenn is a big fantasy risk this season. Aug. 21 - 3:00 p.m. ET

My starting kicker/defense.
I like to get all my starters before I start snagging my 5th string backups. A quality kicker can make a difference.
But "quality kicker" is such a fluid thing. Guys that took Rackers early last year based on the previous year's numbers were terribly disappointed.More than any other position, kicker scoring is random.
Agreed. It also depends on your roster requirements. We must draft at least two kickers so that changes things from leagues where you don't have to have one going into the season.

I had thought about this guy too. I don't know if you're a subscriber or not, but lets just say that after seeing what kicking guru Mike Herman thinks of him this year as of Aug 16, I've pretty much completely written him off at this time. I DO think there will be value in the GB kicker once we get more certain about who it is.Herman - care to elaborate?

Oy. My current bete noir. I had this useless clown on one of my rosters almost all of last year, thinking he'd at least get short yardage at some point. Now here he is again in nearly the same exact situation. And I'm still fascinated. Man I'm pathetic. Can some one remind me of all the usefully productive short yardage backs there have been in past Martz offenses?

I'll probably take the Redskins Defense with my last pick. You know they'll be available, and there's a good chance they return to 2005 form.

Adimchinobe Echemandu!
Isn't that a 4 game suspension offense type substance?
Jokes aside, he's the increasingly likely #2 RB for Oakland while Rhodes is out on his own 4-game suspension.
 Trust me, I've got him written down for the late rounds of my 16 team 20 roster spot league due to your mention of him in that other thread. I'd have to have better expectations than I currently have of the Raiders' offense to select him in my 12 team, 18 roster spot leagues though.

Call me a homer, but I think Isaiah Stanback is trying to make a push for Mr. Irrelevant on my team

I grabbed David Boston as the 199th pick taken overall in the final round exactly two weeks ago today.

This was in a league that only drafts offensive skill position players QB,RB,WR,TE and NO KICKERS. If that same draft was to begin again today I don't see any possible scenario where Boston is the 199th skill position player taken or even falls into the last round for that matter. Good luck to all of you who still think you can get him that late.
