With Steve Smith out, who's the WR to own in Carolina? (1 Viewer)

If I recall correctly last time SS was out Dante Rosario had some decent games, who has been getting some catches here and there already this season.

Gettis. Yeah, I own him, because he's better....next year.
As a Panther fan, I don't see any of our receivers being startable on a weekly basis this year... unless you are in a really, really deep league. Even Steve Smith couldn't be counted on to produce week in and week out with our QB situation. On a side note, Dwayne Jarrett just got his second DWI... he now has more DWIs than touchdowns in his career. He will probably be cut loose.

In my 14-teamer, I have Austin, Knox, Lance moore, and hartline. So considering Knox is my no 2, its a pretty deep league. Problem with my team or really all leagues right now, theres a huge shortage of RBs. BJGE has a bye week and I'm forced to start Jason Snelling. Drafted Spiller and Bush...sigh

That's what I'm thinking. If the venerable Steve Smith can't produce much with Clausen, how can we expect anyone else to do so?

Panther homer here...the answer is no one...look else where. Before Smith was healthy it was barely worth owning him. I would take a #3 WR on about half the NFL teams before one of the starters on panthers at this point.

David Gettis if you're desperate for someone. He and Clausen have a good chemistry from working together a lot in the offseason. I think the kid has flashed a lot of potential despite having only played four games in his career. A promising talent that people should keep an eye on.

This. But don't look at starting him this week. This guy is more for later in the year, if that, or next year. Guy's green and so is his QB. Let's see what Cowher can do with them next year.
