Looking at your LBs, I agree there are some questions. Let me start with some of the guys with bigger question marks. You definitely have strongside-linebacker-itis.Morlon Greenwood is someone I actually like, but many believe rookie DeMeco Ryans beats him out for the WLB job, obviously crushing his value.

Tommy Polley is a Saint now and might not start as well.

Manny Lawson is a wonderful talent but is playing on the outside of a 3-4 defense, replacing Julian Peterson who, despite being one of the most talented LBs in the game, never really was a huge IDP fantasy player.

David Thornton looks to still be on the strongside. The only optimism there is if they decide to move him into the middle. Unlikely at this point.

Marcus Washington is also tabbed on the outside, but is a rare impact player from there. Still, unlikely to be a top 10 LB.

DJ Williams has huge talent but is on the strong side and has not generated numbers since moving there.

Demorrio Williams seems unlikely at this point to start.

I like Briggs a lot (see my face-off) and they say that Leroy Hill should play on the weak side and Hill looked great as a rookie last year. You have some players, but not enough high impact ones for my liking.

:goodposting: and add to that the recent article about ayodele and he might have 3 starting quality LBs but that group isnt anything to make an owner all warm and fuzzy feeling

Not sure I'd say you have a lot of promise. ;) Only guys I'd worry about keeping are Briggs, Hill and Washington. Lawson and Williams are tough to give up in case they ever move to the strong side (only if this is dyanasty league). Greenwood could be good this year if he retains starting nod.

I'd dump Polley for sure.

Dump Greenwood to a guy that might see more value than really exists (again, only for dynasty). Same with Demorrio Williams. In fact, he might be the best bet to trade at a value. Do it quick before more realize he's not starting and only look at last year's glowing numbers.

Of course, a lot of this depends on the size of your league ... these are not great LBs for a 12 teamer, adequate for a 16 teamer, and rockin' for a 20 teamer and larger ...

I am in pretty much the same boat in one of my 16 team dynasty leagues.... no real studs, but an abundance of mediocre LB's.

Quarles

J Peterson

Greenway

Vrabel

Lawson

Hodge

B Simmons

Hartwell

Sirmon

One aging 3 down MLB and one rookie WLB. After that, they are two down backers, 3-4 LB's or SLB's. The problem is just try to trade three of them for one stud. It's impossible, without parting with another stud, be it a WR or whatever. The way my roster is, I can't afford to get a stud LB without creating another positional hole in my roster. I will most likely have to live with this group. :(

i was just about to say but atleast you have some cap room to work withooops guess not...how the heck do you only have $24 left and i have $1300

Demorrio Williams seems unlikely at this point to start.
Same with Demorrio Williams. In fact, he might be the best bet to trade at a value. Do it quick before more realize he's not starting and only look at last year's glowing numbers.
Can someone point to a link to substantiate this? It looks like it is a given based on these comments. I just started in IDP and actually resigned Williams based on his performance last year. Now I am wondering if I missed something.

Here's a link that includes information from the Atlanta area newspapers in a forum topic from late April.http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...opic=238136&hl=
