I wouldn't even consider a pardon if I were Biden. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to make an example of Trump. Let the legal system play itself out.

So, strongly not in favor for me.

Frankly, I think pardons in general are stupid.

I’m generally a take the high road, forgive and forget, let my neighbor off the hook for cutting down my tree kinda guy, but I would not support pardoning Trump. As others have stated, it’s unclear for what crimes he’d need pardoning, and I believe he’ll be in a lot more hot water than a blanket pardon for federal crimes will cover. Moreover, I don’t imagine much healing is possible for diehard Trump supporters, who will continue to embrace conspiratorial fantasies about the election results and other deep state nonsense for the foreseeable future. Lastly, I think Trump will be much less of a threat to this country moving forward if held accountable for his wrongdoings - preferably in prison, where his ability to fan the flames will be limited.

But Biden and Congress should focus on more pressing issues, and minimize any resources dedicated to investigating Trump regardless. Let individuals, NY and maybe the IRS take a crack at him first.

Politically going after Trump will be a complete train-wreck...any talk of unity will be completely gone right away...if you really want to marginalize the guy as many on the left do just ignore him...that will bother him more.
This is a good point, but I have a feeling Trump isn’t going to leave the political spotlight voluntarily, and the ratings he’ll garner will always provide a willing platform (if he doesn’t create his own network).

Let the people hear the evidence. No more favorable redactions, no more DOJ press conferences explaining what they think the Mueller report says before it happens, no more federal employees explicitly being told not to comply with subpoenas, no more threats to whistle-blowers.  If there's evidence of serious wrong doing and of the cover up then get it all out there and let the people see it.

The good...is others won't give him as much free airtime as before.  At least that is the hope.  Sure, he will be big on whatever network he chooses...but the others won't be covering his entire events if he has any...Twitter likely cracks down even harder on him as well.

Remember the premise of "Alias Smith and Jones" (yes, I'm old)?  Two popular outlaws are called into President Grant's office, where they're told he's willing to pardon them IF they can disappear and not commit any more crimes for a few years. That would be my approach for Biden: "Look, Don, I'm willing to pardon you, but I am not going to give you carte blanche to create havoc and damage America over the next 4 years and then have you or your spawn run for President in 2024. If you want a pardon, you and your family need to earn it by staying out of the limelight and keeping your mouth shut until December, 2024 and I'll do it then."

Depends.   First question is What would the pardon be for?

Then you have to worry about if Biden and every other ex POTUS might have skeletons in their closet as well.  I just want calm right now.  Lets be honest, Trump was not part of the club so it was never going to be smooth.
