I'd been offering a $20 Victorino around in my NL-only Philly-based league. I got some offers, but none that I really liked.

Now that the draft is over, I've been offered Chris Young (Ariz.) at $9. Salaries won't matter until 2011 at this point, at which point Victorino is practically unkeepable at $24. Young would still be $9.

I've got good speed - Phillips, Tulo, Reynolds, Fowler, Stubbs, Soriano. And I think Young will steal a good number of bases, while hitting for more power, but a lower average.

I tried to get a little more out of the owner and was met with a flat NO.

Anyone want to weigh in on this?

I will: no.

Chris Young shows you leg, but there's no sex in the champagne room. His K rate precludes him from ever having a truly productive season.

2007 - 32 HRs, 27 SBs? not a productive (fantasy) season?

his BA is a major concern, i will grant you that. and there is a fear that he never regains the level he was at. but i watched him in the minors in a special series on diamondbacks MLers and came away thinking he was going to be a superstar.
