Colts released RB DeDe Dorsey.

Wow. Dorsey was expected by most to backup Joseph Addai this season, but with Clifton Dawson also being cut, that job now belongs to CFL star Kenton Keith. Expect the Colts to make an addition off waivers.

I'm not shocked that Dorsey isn't the guy, but I am a little surprised that the Colts are banking on a replacement being available. Are they seriously banking on Dillon?

I thought for sure he was Addai's backup. I didn't see this one coming.

Could have been a nice sleeper if Addai had not been able to handle the load of being a full time starter.

I expect the Colts to pick up another RB - I just don't know who. Keith was the best of the bunch, so I can't complain about that - but I was surprised both Dorsey and Dawson were cut (not that Dorsey was cut). The Colts kept a fullback - I expect him (Luke Lawton) to be the odd one out if they pick up another RB.

the reason was Pierre Thomas' great presason and Stecker being the special teamer that he is. Also not enough room on the roster to keep that many true halfbacks Please let him sign with Indy to make my draft selection worthwhile

Kenton Keith looked pretty good to me in preseason, and much better than Dorsey.

This is like so many situations where even the "best" information is shaky. Often things just have to play their way out. Dorsey was far from a lock and really once we were able to see him in preseason it looked fairly obvious that he was not "special" and the hold on the back-up job was weak.

As I said in the cut thread, this one is a bit surprising because Dorsey was on the active roster all year in 2006. Guess the Colts saw something in him that just wasnt there this year.

I guess I'm going to hear it now. I strutted around like Mick Jagger with a beetle in is a-crack after picking Dorsey. Nobody knew who he was. I knew that I was smarter than everyone and that they'd be looking at me like a fantasy guru when Addai went down and I had his most capable backup.

The Colts are treating this like they treat the backup QB situation, ie ignoring it almost entirely. Could be a very big mistake.

Not sure why people are so high on Fason. He has not impressed me once since he entered the NFL. IMO, Artose Pinner is a better RB but he gets no love except from Jwvdcw.
