Wow the Buccaneers ruined their uniforms (1 Viewer)

The Bucs said they wanted a more modern look. Their existing uniforms were modern enough IMO, they haven't been around that long.

Just a way to pull in more merchandise revenue for a franchise in the tank

The numbers are just awful

I'd like to see the Titans change their unies back to a more traditional Oilers Columbia blue and all that went with it, except for the logo of course.

The Titans uniforms are boring, and so is their team.

Now in the running for some of the worst uniforms in the NFL. It's definitely the worst of the three uniforms the team has worn in its history.

Is this for real? They are hideous. The old creamsicle colored ones were ugly, but in a appreciable kind of way. These are just ugly. They aren't modern, they are kitsch, they aren't anything but ugly.

At the unveiling people were posting pictures about how the numbers light up at night, in the dark. Looked amazing.

I don't know how to search Instagram so I won't bother trying to link.
:lmao:
Cool, digital alarm clocks! Do the numbers flash too if the power goes out?

But this is just forward thinking, if they ever make the SuperBowl again and the lights go out, they can keep playing.

I've never liked the pewter look, but I give them credit for trying own the awful scheme with this latest version.

ETA: Reminds me of dark candy corn and red Kool-Aid.

I hope this doesn't become a league trend. The style/design itself isn't terrible, it's just the numbers I strongly disagree with, they should have a Buccanneer font, or sword-like slashes for numbers. It feels like a forced tron design with the glowing numbers too.

Sales have been very good.
Sales are always very good for a uniform change, even for the worst abominations. That doesn't mean anything.
Not true. The FSU logo change doesn't look like it will be a success at retail. Alabama launched a new logo a few years ago, fans rebelled...so they had to go back to the original. Recent logo changes from the Lions and Vikings had very little reaction. This Bucs change has been a success.
You have a link to the failed Bama logo? I never heard about that.
It's the angry Elephant logo...where they re-did the Elephant to make him more aggressive and running out of the A. Reaction was so bad that they had to go back...although what they did was technically create a new logo (circle with script 'A' in middle), with the old logo within in (script 'A'). The angry Elephant was moved to a secondary logo, so can still be used...but isn't often.
:snicker:
