WR Ryan Flournoy, DAL (1 Viewer)

Ryan Flournoy is a small school, older, combine phenom, day-3 drafted player who gets a chance today with the Cowboys at Pittsburgh and Brandin Cooks out of the lineup.

Some of you dynasty players may have speculatively added him as a stash.

I am really not expecting anything at all in the way of an impactful stat line but him being active should be a fun added component for us football guys who like watching this kind of player development in the game.

Read the Jerry hype --> https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2024/10/05/cowboys-ryan-flournoy-jerry-jones-dez-bryant/

Jerry's basically the PT Barnum of owners and I still bought his hype. Grabbed Flournoy in all but one dynasty league for a few bucks this weekend because you know the old saying how you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Obviously the roster spot was the main cost, but I'm preparing most of these teams for a K bye in next week or two so figured I'd put him on the roster a week or two and see what shakes out.

Ryan Flournoy caught 6-of-9 targets for 114 yards in the Cowboys’ Week 5 win over the Jets.

Flournoy morphed into the Cowboys’ WR1 in a game where Sauce Gardner blanketed George Pickens for most of the afternoon. Flournoy tied Jake Ferguson for the team lead in targets on the day and saw most of his yards buoyed by receptions of 40 and 46 yards. Even if CeeDee Lamb misses Week 6’s game against the Panthers, we wouldn’t expect this to be the new norm for Flournoy, who entered the day with 137 career receiving yards.

I could see him being a waiver wire add. He's pretty explosive.

I’m putting in claims for Ryan Flournoy in every dynasty league.

Elite athlete (4.44 40, 39.5” vertical at 6’1”/202).

Posted 100+ yards on 9 targets & broke 3 tackles in WK5; also had another 2 rushing attempts.

Posted a 90+ PFF Receiving Grade.

Has seemingly overtaken Jalen Tolbert & is in play for the #3 role in DAL – an offense which is currently 2nd in the NFL in passing attempts per-game (40.0).

We have seen role-players with fantasy-relevant stretches in this offense before (remember Noah Brown?)

Watched most of the game Sunday and he looked excellent. Knew who he was but still had a couple “ who the F is this guy” moments. If CeeDee is out another couple weeks, will be a good pick up.

I got him for a buck off of the wire but the Jets’ CB2 was on him. That’s the equivalent of somebody locking a violent criminal up by wrapping him in toilet paper. I’m a Jets fan. Dallas was missing six starters on offense—4 OL, WR1, and WR4/KR—and they freaking stomped us. At one point, Dallas, who had scored a touchdown with 57 seconds left in the first half, got the ball back somehow with 29 seconds left in the half (do the math). They had no timeouts, and they ran a running play from their own 33. They were just running a simple off-tackle run to get to halftime. Well, a hole opened, Javonte broke two weak tackles, and they gained 66 yards to our one and got out of bounds (well, angled out, and he made sure to get out). They then ran another play and scored a second touchdown with under a minute to go in the half.

Guys, nobody is talking about the effort because it’s like the media doesn’t want the worst owner in pro football to fire a guy who inherited about fifteen viable NFL guys max after only giving him five games with that personnel.

I’m not just ripping my team. It is really that bad.

I want to grab him in dynasty but I don’t really have anyone to drop. I’d have to drop either Bateman or Shaheed
