WSL1 Round 17,18,19,20 (1 Viewer)

This last pick is a struggle. I could pick some scrub WR who may never outscore any of my 6 WRs or I could protect my #2 QB investment in Edwards, who I am not sure is a lock to start all year.

20.13 JP LOSMAN

I presume he cannot add a player if he times out
The offical make up pick period is 8 hours after he times out.
So he gets 24 hours, in essence, if he hasn't timed out already?Just curious (as the holder of 20.16 in WSL2  ).
It's just been a straight 8 hours in the past.
Well.... if he hasn't timed out - he gets 8 hours to pick. Then he times out. He gets another 8 before losing the pick? AND he has an 8 hour clock off period in there as well? That sounds like 24 hours to me.Probably doesn't matter at all, but just curious.

No clock off period....just a flat 8 hours to make up a pick after the last pick is made (or the last clock expires). Not really critical here, but comes into play later in the year.

You don't know who I'm considering - every hour might count. :)

I found it in a thread from last year. Someone timed out to end a draft and there was a big discussion about making up the pick. My ruling there was that everyone had 8 hours from the end of the draft to make up any picks. I've updated the rules in the pinned thread to include this. That said, I did intervene last year and give one guy Tay Biddle and Madison Hedgecock as replacement picks. I'm thinking Ryne Robinson would be a good fit for Fro's team.

I've been away all weekend on a ski trip.

I understand if you want to levy any ruling on me. But if you guys don't care . . I'll take

Moore QB Car

I certainly don't object. As a matter of fact, it appears that you and I thought alike in selecting an NFL backup to 1 of our starting QBs. I think Delhomme was a good pick for you and I understand wanting the insurance.

I'll be the ###-hole...

I'll assume the ski trip didn't sneak up on Fro---a quick PM to anyone of us after his last selection w/Moore, if available, would have avoided this

We can't say, "oh well, it was the last pick--go ahead"....why not the pick before?

What if Fro were here, but PAE timed out...Fro picks, then the 8 hrs PAE would have had to make a selection elapsed--we'd have told him TS, draft was over...

:hifive:

not trying to be the jerk, but 'dems the rules...

I think individually none of us would really object to Moore being added to Fro's team (although yes he could have/should have avoided the situation)..........BUT it's up to the guys running all the drafts as they will have to be consistent in applying the rules, so whatever Bass decides has to be the Word.

im thinking it needs to be held to the same precedent its always been held to otherwise we will have future issues

Not a problem whatever you guys decide. I was waiting around all day on thursday to pick. But then stuff hit the wall at work and I had to get on a plane thurday night. I thought rudy was going to call me but he forgot to check after he finished his last pick.

Either way, I'm not really that concerned. I was not trying to gain an adavantage by waiting it out so you can do what ever you want and I'm okay with it. Sorry for holding up your guy's pick. Wait . ....

Here. Need to figure out which jabronie kickers may still have a job. This may take a bit.
19.06 PK Olindo Mare
That's good planning right there..... The only thing that could make this pick funnier would be a press conference.
There's 4 I had reasonably left to choose from who may have jobs next year. Two are old as ####, and one is worse than this guy. We'll see.
:bag: :lmao: The New Orleans Saints announced on Wednesday that they have released placekicker Olindo Mare after he failed a physical.

some speculation that he didn't want to take a paycut and that's why they cut him, although they said it was a physical. it's the same way they got rid of joe horn. mare should find work he's got a big leg.
probably but for now let us have our laughs :pickle:
