Yahoo! Users - Limit to FA adds? (1 Viewer)

Ok, first...I am in a league with a bunch of friends that have played together for a few years. And this has been done in the past, so please refrain from this being "bush-league". (Plus, I am in 9th place and need to do anything to help.)

Is there a limit to the number of FAs you can add and drop in a row?

My opponent may not make his minimum number of innings pitched requirement this week. I am thinking of blobking him by picking up and waiving a few SPs. Is there a limit per day?

Yes, I feel a little dirty doing this....but I can live with it.

No there isn't a limit, unless the commissioner set up it up to have a maximum number of moves for the season...

However, if you pickup and drop someone in the same day, they will still be a free agent...

But churning the waiver wire is a no-no in Yahoo's mind and if someone reports you, you could lose your team...

While it's not against the rules per se... I know you wouldn't be invited back the following season for pulling something like that... at least not in our league.

Well I did not end up doing it, but as I stated above - it has been done in our league before - several times.

They're still free agents if the drop is made after the add without another trans. in the middle and if done on the same day. Pretty sure thats how it works. Not sure if there is a time limit factored in.

I know ESPN has it coded in to make this kind of thing not possible. Players who are picked up and dropped before actually being on a roster when the daily roster lock occurs do not get put to waivers. At Sportsline we've implemented a commissioner-enforced rule that does the same thing.
