Yahoo Waiver Pickup rules question? (1 Viewer)

Ok I am currently 0-2 in my league but I am gonna win this week. Somone dropped Beanie Wells yesterday and I submitted a claim on him.

Our waiver rules are reverse order of standings and 1 day waiver time.

I was talking to a buddy and he is going to lose this week and will go from 1-1 to be 1-2 and also planned on submitting a claim.

The Waiver date next to my claim in Sept 28th, tomorrow.

Will I lose the waiver claim on Wells because of the new updated standings or the standings when I made claim?

I read that Yahoo updates their waivers at like midnight pacific time but I am worried!!!

Help calm me down

Would expect the standings to be updated prior to waivers. Anything else is ridiculous. Reverse order of standings with points scored being the tie-breaker. If you don't have that expect to lost the waiver bid. That's the rules.

Doesn't matter what time you made the waiver claim, if he has a higher priority than you. And yes, if your waivers go from worst to first, reset each week, they will reset on Tuesday morning. If your yahoo league doesn't have divisions, than the tie breaker, I believe, is total points. So if he has the same record (1-2) and less points, than he will have priority over you.

Midnight is the deadline to submit a waiver claim.Yahoo says the waivers are awarded "4 to 8 hours later". It usually happens around 4:00 a.m. - 5:00a.m. in my league. That's usually around the same time that Win/Lose records are updated also. If I had to guess, I would think that your standings will be updated first, then the waiver claims awarded based on those new standings. Not what you wanted to hear. I'm not 100% sure of it, but I think that is how it usually goes down.

Yep, standings will be updated Tuesday morning. Waiver runs Thursday morning, between midnight and 2:00am PST usually.

Depends on league settings. The OP said his waiver claim is set to go through tomorrow morning - the same day that the standings will be updated. So he's wondering which happens first if they occur on the same day. He apparently has free-running waivers instead of a weekly "one time" system.

thats super stupid. I hate when crappy teams get priority. He was released day of games and everyon had a chance to pick him up. and at the time i had a poorer record so this is crappy like I said.

Oh well his team sucks and his best player is Romo.....I get it but I dont have to like it
