Yankees getting HAMMERED by the Indians 20-2 in the 5th inning! (1 Viewer)

Is Nick Swisher in yet?
The crowd was calling for him earlier. He put his glove over his face. I'm guessing to hide the laughing while they're losing so bad.
They were chanting for Swisher during the 9 run 7th inning debacle on Thursday also.
That was awesome. I know this will sound crazy but with Wang and CC pitching these gems they might want to insert him into the rotation. He's got pretty good stuff.

:thumbup:How many losses did this one count as?
That much is true. While it's a huge concern that Wang is currently worse than anyone in history, the Yanks can take solace in the following fact.On July 4, 2006, they lost 19-1 to the Indians in a game that I remember being every bit as embarrassing as the one played today. The Tribe hit 6 HR that day. The Yankees then proceeded to win the next four in a row and nine of ten immediately following that debacle.

Did you forget about this beatdown, GB? :hot:

Yikes, nice picture. But even after that one, they won 7 of 9. Looks like they historically respond well to giving up eleventy billion runs. If only they'd do that a bit less though...

Just havin' fun with you GB. You're good people, even if you're a Yankee fan. ;)

So time to pick up Phil Hughes if avail., right?
I would be shocked if Wang takes his next turn. Especially considering it's in Boston. Hughes would be right on schedule to take Wang's turn in the rotation. Whether they DL Wang or send him down, I think it's safe to say that Hughes will be called up.

Same to you bro. I'm just happy it wasn't a box score from the 1997 or 2007 ALDS, which I think we can all agree never happened! :P

Read something today on LoHud about how sending him down isn't an option. They also say he's not hurt. So I'd guess skipping him once is the only option here, and I'd bet that's exactly what they'll do.

Yep. Looks like this is what is going to happen. Girardi all but confirmed it on the pre-game. If they can't send him down, this makes sense I guess.
