Not sure if this is the right forum. Apologies if it isn't. Does anyone know if there are stats out there that show how many carries a running back had for each amount of yards? For example, how many carries for 1 yard a RB had.

I was having a "debate" with someone on the effectiveness of a RB. They were saying that this RB was not a long term answer for his team and one of the reasons given was because he has so many 0 or 1 yard rushes. Of course he didn't have any numbers to back this up, just what he "observed". I was trying to first off see how many of these rushes he actually had and second how that compares to other running backs.

Hey Chase,

Could you forward a request to the rest of staff to maybe make the content there a little more spreadsheet friendly?

Like instead of "rushed for 7 yards", "rushed for -2 yards", "caught pass for 3 yards (first down)", maybe put the pertinent info in a table?

So Ron Dayne picked up 2 yards or less on 44% of his carries. That is an answer to a question I had for quite awhile now.

Now I need to figure out whether that is good or bad by NFL standards.
