You can only have.... (1 Viewer)

Brandon Sanderson - very prolific with a great library and much more to come

Midnight Oil - another huge library and lots of spinoffs currently

Tom Cruise - hardest one, but I generally like his movies and think he will continue for quite a while.  Also thought about betting on a prolific younger actor like Chris Pine.

Great choice. IIRC @Otis is a huge fan of Ford Fairlane...or was it Pontiac GTO...Nissan Sentra??? Whatever, the racisty old man one.

I really love Clint and a ton of his films, might be willing to change my choice. RDJ was the first name that popped into my head.  He has a good combo of mainstream and indie stuff, and if I'm on this desert island with one actors catalog there better be some big budget popcorn fare and with RDJ you get most of the Marvel catalog.
And you get Weird Science

Stephen Tobolowski. His IMDB has 259 entries across movies and tv. Gets me Groundhog Day (Ned Ryerson), Spaceballs, Memento, The Grifters, and an episode or ten of about 100 tv series like Deadwood, Heroes, Glee, Californication, and Silicon Valley.

Prince - 45 albums plus a few side projects. Do I get songs he wrote but didn’t record?  Either way, one of my favorites and incredibly prolific.

Author is tough as I don’t read nearly as much as I wish I did. So I guess I’ll just go with the only author whose books I’ve read over and over - Tolkien.

Major props to everyone in this thread, you guys know your stuff.

Got me rethinking who I picked, this is a good thing.

Jack Reacher...???

Jack Reacher...???
Top Gun

Rain Man

Legend

MI movies

Interview with a Vampire

Color of Money

Vanilla Sky (!)

Minority Report

Edge of Tomorrow...

Kind of like Keanu, people rag on him, but I tend to like the movies those guys are in.

Would go with Robert Duvall (Godfather I/II, True Grit, MASH, The Conversation, Network, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, Apocalypse Now, Great Santini, Tender Mercies, The Natural, Sling Blade, The Apostle, Crazy Heart, Jack Reacher, to name a few).
Nice!  I was thinking Duvall, too, and didn't expect anyone else would have chosen him.

Author is Haruki Murakami.  Close second for DFW, but Murakami wins since he's still writing.   :(

Music is obviously the Beatles.

Author I would go with Andy Rooney. Not big on fiction.

Music would be Neil Young (which hopefully gets me Buffalo Springfield and CSNY too).

Movies would be De Niro. Gets me Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, GFII, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino, Heat... I'm good.
Gotta ask- in the rules do we HAVE to watch all their movies? Like the Deniro call unless I am subjected to late stage Deniro movies. ;)

Heh heh, I guess the comedy stuff I can live with to offset the constant crime drama, but I hear ya.
