Your Go-To Shoe. (1 Viewer)

I fathom that at least a small percentage of the members here have any clue about style. A fashion thread exists, and that's all fine and dandy, but my measure of a man is by the shoes on his feet.

When you're headed out for a night on the town, what is your GO-TO SHOE (one only please)???

name/brand/style/color. and a link to a photo makes it all the better. I'm always on the lookout for new looks.

Me:

Clark's Wallabees - Brown suede

note: I assume this is a promo photo - you do NOT wear the suede tag that comes with it.

Converse all stars classic with the white tip. Best shoe ever made. Goes with everything

A whole lotta slip ons here. Not because we can't tie our shoes anymore I hope. :fatties:

Clarks for anything dressyish.

Running either New Balance or Mizuno

Casual...my Adidas sambas or puma...similar style swede or canvas works.

Black apron-toe oxfords. Or reddish-brown cap toe oxfords. Or sneakers.

I have no idea who made any of them, but those are the only three pairs of shoes I own.

I've been looking for a good pair of black shoes to wear with jeans when going out for what seems like a year. Everything I like is either too dressy or too casual.

I have a pair of Rockport hybrid shoes (similar to these) which have been my go-to work shoe for 7 years. They've got a few scuffs and scratches but they're still going strong and they clean up nicely.

I've got a couple pairs of Eccos and while they are OK, I would say that they don't live up to the hype.

Have you tried spray painting a pair of timberlands?

Ecco dress shoes. If it wasn't 0 degrees with frozen snow everywhere, I'd be wearing my Ecco Dacanos.
This. They are so freakin' comfortable. I wear them with suits, jeans, etc. Huge fan.

Summertime: Docksiders. Broken in docksiders are wickedly comfortable!

Wintertime: if I don't have to wear boots I have a pair like these, only a dark brown.

My 3 go to shoes for work and play are:

or sometimes these
I live in my pair of these in the summertime (mine are "brown" though)
Why is "brown" in quotes? Does that mean they're some other color, but you #### on them or something?
It's what the color is offically named, though they have a good bit of a green hue to them.
Too much spinach?
I'm thinking he might be a landscaper.

Just wore a pair of these straight through. Multiple resolings. I'm trying to find an inexpensive but still quality alternative to these and the Brunos I wear, because I'm just getting tired of spending 600 bucks in a pair of shoes and then beating the crap out of them. I tried a pair of cheap kenneth coles of the web, but they squeak like crazy (the fake leathery I guess) any ideas?

Zappos. You need to find a middle ground. Kenneth Cole is crap, but 600 bucks for an apron toe oxford is too high in my opinion if you are hard on shoes. Just make sure it's all leather and none of that crappy fake stuff, and you can get a solid pair for under $150 delivered to your house.

Keen Venice sandals when it's warm enough.

When it's colder Asics gel Cumulus 15 running shoe.

Very rarely will I wear a boot type shoe in the winter.

Those are ugly.

Low top Chucks, currently two pair, red and blue.

John Fluevog cap toe derby, black, which he hasn't made in years. Bought two pair knowing that would be the case. Built like tanks.

Everything else varies.

Horrible! Maybe if the pants were longer to cover the shoe and only see the tips. As is they look like elf boots.

Hard to find decent styles and quality in the low price ranges. I find most of them have the chunky sole and heel or the giant square toe, like we're going clubbing in 1990.
