Yudkin's Rankings (1 Viewer)

I started this thread at about the same time last year. My draft is t- 11 days away and I really like the Yudkin logic in his rankings. When can we expect your input ? When is your deadline sir???

FBG's home page, go to forecast, select rankings, then switch to QB rankings only. I you want to see only Yudkins rankings, exclude everyone else be checking them off.

Vince Young in the top ten. Very interesting...

Still think Brady will be throwing more short/underneath?
It will depend how the OL holds up. Currently short two starters.
I know you like Romo...a little surprised how those two shook out.
We dated for awhile, but it wasn't all that serious.
DY = alias for Jessica Simpson??? You make a great Daisy Duke!
Hey, I know I put on a few pounds, but I'm no Jessica Simpson. Don't say things you can't take back!

Link? How am I not finding these?
Just look under the redraft rankings. Only have QB and WR posted for now.
Thanks, DY,Kinda surprised you're not a little higher on Welker.
I think they will limit his time on the field in the early going. I don't see him getting a lot of looks in the red zone, so even with a lot of receptions, he won't get a ton of yards and should rarely get in the endzone. We'll see, but they need him healthy later in the year. They won't win a title in Sept or Oct.

Fair enough. I'm personally gambling on Brady leaning on him when push comes to shove so hoping for some 5/75 performances even when he's only on the field for 50% of the snaps. We'll see. :DETA: hope you're right on McNabb as well. His dinged foot would have me more concerned if he hadn't already shown the ability to play through some pretty significant injuries.

Thank you for sharing your rankings! Surprised to see we have TO ranked at the same slot. I'm not the only one crazy enough to put him there.

I may have missed the boat on Meachum though. For some reason Moore looks like the better play when looking into the situation. Could someone point me to the right place to sort this one out? If Meachum and Colston are going to put up the best WR stats for the Saints, I need to make a serious adjustment.

I see Moore as the Saints 4th receiver, but that may not be how things shake out. FBG has Moore ahead of Meachum on the depth chart. He seems to have a better pure pedigree than Moore does. I think a lot will evolve based on who is healthy each week.

Thanks Daisy Duke! Meachum was the one I expected to take, but Moore is the person who shakes out as the better fantasy option after reviewing the situation several times this off season. When healthy, Meachum is more athletic, but Moore somehow tends to out produce him. Gonna have to sit on my island a bit longer and keep taking Moore for now.

WRs are up . . .
you say Moss is the talk of the town....I've been searching for anything that states there's a buzz around Moss's upcoming season and have yet to find it. Can you give some perticular's on why you think he's in for a #1 WR rank type season ? Does the schedule or possible offensive philosophy change we've been hearing about have any effect ?thanks

Both Moss and Brady are healthy. Last year neither one was and Moss ranked as the #2 WR. Here's a recent article . . .

Randy Moss continues to amaze

By Mike Reiss

ESPNBoston.com

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Sometimes when extraordinary things happen on a regular basis, they might start being viewed as ordinary.

Such is the case with Randy Moss.

The veteran New England Patriots receiver did it again Tuesday. In passing drills against the Atlanta Falcons, he was gracefully sprinting down the right sideline when quarterback Tom Brady delivered a high-arcing ball in his direction. Cornerback Brian Williams had tight coverage. A completion seemed unlikely.

Then, at the last moment without breaking stride, Moss extended his right arm and corralled the ball with one hand.

It just stuck.

Ho-hum.

Such plays have become commonplace over the past four seasons in New England, to the point that they are almost easy to overlook because Moss makes the magic look easy.

Moss, by most accounts this summer, has been magnificent through the Patriots' first 27 practices of training camp, his stick-'em one-handed grab Tuesday just the latest example. Yet little light has been shed on his work, in part because has not accepted interview requests, instead electing to have his performance do the talking.

What we've seen is a player who, unlike past years, has been on the field for every practice. Gone are the "veteran" days off that have sometimes been awarded to players of his stature.

And for those questioning whether the 33-year-old Moss still has the burners to race past defenders, further evidence of that came Tuesday morning when he split the defense (albeit the Falcons' reserves) and hauled in a long bomb down the middle of the field from Brady. That one got a rise out of the largest training camp crowd the Falcons have had this summer.

Earlier this week, Patriots coach Bill Belichick agreed with a reporter who said it appeared Moss was putting together a solid camp.

"I think with all the players that get into that part of their career, you look at it year to year. Sometimes players can stay at a high level for a number of years, but then at some point it drops," Belichick said. "That can be at 28. It could be 31. It could be 35. There's no real forecast on that."

When it comes to the future forecast with Moss in New England, it's cloudy. He is in the final year of his contract and previously said that he figures this will be his last season with the club.

What has resulted is a motivated Moss, a player positioning himself for perhaps one final payday, whether it's in New England or elsewhere. That has come to life on the field in camp with several highlight-reel plays.

The most recent came Tuesday.

It's extraordinary stuff that doesn't always get its due because of how frequently it happens.

thanks for the article. I wonder if cash is THE motivation, or last season to play with a HOF QB - he's probably got a stacked bank account and with a looming lock-out, he could be 35 before he see's a field after this season.

Always appreciate your Pats insight DY.

David, what are your thoughts on Vince Young this year cracking the top ten. He has looked really poised to me but I wasn't ready to put him in the top ten.

TE rankings are up currently but the others aren't anymore. I assume they just need to be refreshed.
