The more expensive one is LED direct lit vs the cheaper one being LED edge lit.
The difference between the two. The LG is also direct lit. Samsung claims 120 hZ refresh but it’s not really. It’s the same as the LGs Tru120 or whatever.
Refresh rate is important.
Be really careful when comparing what you see in store on TVs. Some will be properly setup, others not, and/or could have better content being played on them. I have 2 LGs that I used in my spare bedrooms and the picture is alright but the little things about it are pretty annoying. Like the extremely cheap remotes that barely work, the speakers are junk and the menus and response time are very slow. If you’re just going to be watching one type of thing on the TV (only movies, just sports, etc) so you’ll never need to adjust anything AND you’re going to get a sound system of some sort that the LG should be fine. It could be just that mine are lower end but I’m guessing that that’s where the price difference between the LG and the expensive Samsung is.
