I have a tough time wishing for or cheering the success of someone who seems like an awful human being.  What Vick did was horrible and so is this.  I've been a fan for 30 years and I'm not going to quit, but I would definitely be less engaged with the team and any success they had with with Watson at QB would be tainted to me.

That said, I do think it's highly unlikely this happens
Yeah everything I hear is that this is all regurgitated info from pre sexual assault plus when it comes to assets and their QB depth the Eagles make sense and a trade the National folks would love to see made.

IMHO if they do end up trading for QB it's not Deshaun Watson and it will be something out of LF that no one expected but will probably be happy with getting. And I think it happens next offseason.

Josh Allen? $258m for 6 years?

Can we all agree the Eagles were right to pay Carson early even if it didn't work out?
I actually defended the Carson extension at the time it happened with this exact situation. Unfortunately it didn't work out for Either Carson or the Eagles but if it did the Eagles and Roseman are talked about how smart they were for signing Carson and what a cheap contract Carson is as well as it's every teams dream scenario at the QB position.

Reports are Jalen Hurts had another terrible day of practice. I'll be there tomorrow night. I get on field access and need to be there by 5. Do to the pandemic no meet and greets or autographs with players or coaches which sucks. Should be a lot of fun. I'm actually going the Phillies game for the Halladay Ceremony as a last minute thing.

Only thing that sucks is I got to go to work at 6AM now. Our one guy in Produce had a colonoscopy procedure a few yrs back they found other issues and now is missing part of his intestine. Long story short he doesn't follow a diet and just makes himself worse. This past week he's had a really big issue but he hasn't eaten much. Went to the Dr yesterday and got tests and some medication. Came to work today feeling fine but after 3 hrs got really bad and had to leave. Called out after I came in for tomorrow and I'm taking his shift. Trying to help where I can for the time being. Leaving work at 11 most likely though.

Yea even ESP admitted it was the worst practice he had seen for the Eagles since he's been reporting on them. For the offense anyway. Defense is looking pretty good.

Lots of fantasy implications here.  Bump Goedert, but I think Sanders takes a hit from this.

Yeah I'm keeping Sanders for a 7th rounder right now. Was feeling pretty confident about it. Not so sure now.
At that price, I'd still feel pretty good about it. I was thinking more about drafting him around the 3/4 turn was where I was getting uncomfortable.

Practice notes from Sunday

*Bought VIP tickets which allowed us to walk on the field. I met and talked to Giovanni the disabled kid in met Carson Wentz and hosts his own pod. Fantastic kid and I met some of his family. If everyone had the vision this kid had the world would be a better place

* We sat in the EZ near the Eagles tunnel where Quez made the catch of practice so we saw 1v1 QB, Oline, RB, drills with RZ passing with the 3 QBs and TE/WR groups and TE Blocking drills.

* 1V1 OLine drills Andre Dillard is a nightmare. Got taken to the woodshed by one of the rookies pretty bad at one point. Jordan Maliatti looked like a beast. One of his reps he almost bulldozed the guy to the ground. Kelce looked good but was wearing some sort of brace on his left arm. Driscoll had a few good reps in there too

*RBs practiced ball security. Didn't get much here but saw some more stuff with the RZ stuff.

* QB passing they practiced some short and medium throws. Flacco has such a nice spiral to his throws. Hurts was shaky in the 1v1 drills had more good then bad but his bad throws were just very bad. He doesn't have a good spiral and one thing that caught my eye was the lack of mustard he gets on any throw and how much he looks like he has to force it.

* RZ passing all three QBs looked good. Andre Patton had a solid practice overall. My MVP who caught everything was Tyree Jackson. He looked good in the TE blocking drills and the dude caught every pass thrown to him. Reagor and JJAW both had some embarrassing drops Sun night. There's a very good chance JJAW isn't on this team come Sept 12th.

# RZ passing had some ups and downs for Hurts again. He had 2 really good passes but he had two pretty horrific passes here as well. Flacco had some really nice balls here and my most impressive surprise was Nick Mullen QB3. Dude looks good for a QB 3 here. Hurts missed a fade to Boston Scott in the EZ here.

# Arryn Siposs had some good punts from what I saw and was curious to watch him

# Jake Elliot practiced some FG/XP but didn't seem to do a whole lot special teams

# 11 v 11 was pretty good. This is most of where I think I'm seeing the media say Hurts had a good showing. He did but I think someone of them are making it seem a lot better then it was. His final pass before Flacco took Reps was the Watkins catch where he rolled left. I heard a whistle on the play before he threw so I think they were blowing it dead but he threw it anyway. Real Game I think Hurts gets his clocked clean there, You could tell he had to force there too. The coverage was ok and think there could've been a missed assignment because where I was it was basically an up for grabs ball that Watkins just tough for.

#11v11 Flacco and Mullens took some reps and both were pretty good. Tyree Jackson just caught everything

#RZ offense 2Min drill. Fulgham had a great catch on the side line. It was a nice fade throw by Hurts. They didn't score here and Hurts completely missed a guy wide open in the EZ where he threw over his head and into the crowd for a souvinear. They failed in the RZ.

# Next Up was Joe Flacco who threw a really bad pick. Defense did their usual team Celebration where they run to the end zone and pose which got the crowd going.

# With it towards end of practice we got an E A G L E S chant off from both sides. Then people started the stupid wave which I fail to see what's so great about this. I did feel the noise added something to the practice and gave the team so real crowd effects.

#About 8 mins before practice ended there was a loud bang. Everything stopped as it sounded like a gun/Firework went off. Dead silence for a minute. We thought something was up when after the bang Sirianni got the team huddled around near the 50 yard line. For 2 mins it seemed like practice stopped. An Eagles chant broke out and the team resumed practice. It was really weird and a little scary though.

#Practice ended with some interviews and Nick thanking the fans for being there. A few guys stayed and ran sprints from one sideline to the other while Kelce and Cox threw signed balls into the Crowd with Boston Scott. Fletcher Cox has a good arm

Right before the final plays some booing and an ####### chant started near the corner stands where the Eagles tunnel was. A few of us thought some idiot wearing a Cowboys jersey was there. I ran into another fan talking when we were leaving who told me what happened (This was the reported fan ejection btw). Apparently some idiot was bragging about running onto the field while practice was going on. Some people started ribbing the guy and he was getting serious. Long story short security quicckly got involved as the dude was in the first few rows and the security on the field saw the dude. When Security tried to escort him out, he then tried to take a cheap shot at the guy who was telling me what happened. Dude kept mouthing off saying he'd fight everyone there.

Overall a ton of fun and I saw a lot of great things from Tyree Jackson and Quez Watkins.

No one likes him. Cox is upset about a story Jeff did in June of how Cox got certain coaches fired and such which isn't true at all. I'm starting to think Jeff has a source who is just Messing with him giving him BS stories and he's just writing them without confirmation because thats how big of an ego he has. Following wrestling there was a guy named Brad Sheppard went on a wrestling pod and one guy told him he had sources in the industry and could pass him info when needed. Well the guys sources weren't always legit and he fed him BS info brad would write constantly. After a year and a half the guy feeding him tweeted out screen shots of the messages given to brad and admitted they were all fake stories and Brad got "GOT" as they say. Brad lasted maybe another year before he quite writing on wrestling and started working for some alt right wing website in DC.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone was doing the same to McLane

Childish, but 🤣

The PR person or whoever is coordinating on the Eagles side clearly knows what’s up, too.
They areal in on it at this point. The best part is Jeff McLane doesn't realize he's the joke which makes it even better

Carson on track to play week 1.  I'm sure a lot of you will say "I'll believe it when I see it", and rightfully so, but this is amazing news.  Sounds like he will for sure be back by week 5 with this new news.  So if he makes it through the year without injury, we get that 1st.

With new CCD guidelines Eagles are requiring fans to wear masks inside the building. However while in the stands you don't have to wear one for now.

Indy has a long history of downplaying injuries. Carson has a long history of being seriously injured. I'm not even remotely confident in that report.

At the very least I'd be surprised if he isn't starting by week 5.  That would put him at 10 weeks from the injury, and still give us over 75 percent.
Agreed.  If they're already eyeing 1, it shouldn't be too long after that assuming there's no setbacks

Guys, he's just busy putting out new music (his new hit Bad Habits is catchy).

I think he'll be out there week 1.

After reading Watson's comments about complaining about the media coverage he's getting I really hope we don't take him. He'd get eaten alive by the Philly media.

1st half observations

Quiz Is very VERY FAST!!!!!!

Joe Flacco and Hurts you can really tell the difference in arm strength

JJAW did nothing again

Having a veteran back up with these young WRs is cool and helps their opportunities more

Gainwell has some power for a short guy

Tyree Jackson keeps catching passes. HE NEEDS TO MAKE THE TEAM

I know it's a vanilla defense but this is the first time I'm so excited for a defense.

Really interested to see these young guys on defense in the 2nd half

Looking forward to see Nick Mullens play a bit (Didn't think I'd be saying that when we signed him)

Eagles Hall of Fame by Jeffrey Lurie

Tackles Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan will go into the Eagles Hof at HT against Tampa Bay on TNF. Wish I could attend this game but I'll be in the Outer Banks during that time

Quez is obviously going undrafted in redraft right now but I'm thinking that will change as the preseason goes on. He seems like the classic boom bust WR2 guy. Either gets 3-140-2 or 1-13-0 each week. But when he hits, it's gold.
